Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Old F1 logo was "neither iconic nor memorable" – Brawn 4 years, 8 months ago
I beg to differ. The old logo was truly iconic, at least for us, a whole generation of people who grew up with it and started following Formula One just when it was introduced, in the mid-90s. There’s an […]
Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Porsche wins race of attrition at Le Mans 5 years, 1 month ago
Are the F1 motors able to be run in WEC? I know there was big talk of that at one point but never heard more about it. It would be cool to see Mercedes back in LMP1 again and get Ferrari back.

Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Back to square one for McLaren and Honda? 5 years, 5 months ago
My point exactly. McLaren will stick with Honda for at least a couple more years unless Honda simply pulls the plug on the whole project. And if they do, than it’s Renault engines and another lifetime spent in the […]
Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Wide open Le Mans in prospect after drama at Spa Six Hours 6 years, 3 months ago
Not really. If you’re referring to the WEC race, I think one of the issues was with the air / track temperature which was a lot higher than usual and translated into much higher tyre degradation than anyone […]
Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Wide open Le Mans in prospect after drama at Spa Six Hours 6 years, 3 months ago
That WEC race was, without exaggeration, one of the best races I’ve seen in years and without a doubt the first endurance race that kept me on the edge of my seat for its whole duration. Absolute insanity.
And […]
Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Verstappen taking Kvyat's seat is about future potential, not past results 6 years, 3 months ago
@xtwl F1 is “never say never” territory so I won’t rush into contradicting you on that. However, Massa is still playing a strong game against Bottas, he brings solid sponsorship and he’s generally well looked […]
Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Kvyat may lose seat to Verstappen over Sochi gaffe 6 years, 3 months ago
Meant no disrespect to Ricciardo, mate. I actually like the guy, same as I liked Webber, but with Red Bull’s history of driver treatment and Marko’s way of doing things, I think it’s clear that the […]
Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Verstappen taking Kvyat's seat is about future potential, not past results 6 years, 3 months ago
@xtwl On the contrary, I think this is more likely to mean the end of his F1 career rather than his Red Bull sponsored days. I think Kvyat’s presence on the grid next year depends on how well Gasly does in GP2 […]
Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Kvyat axed by Red Bull, Verstappen takes his place for Spain 6 years, 3 months ago
@johnmilk Make that three unsatisfied drivers. I reckon Ricciardo will be just as happy with Verstappen’s promotion as Webber was with Vettel’s back in 2009.
Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Kvyat may lose seat to Verstappen over Sochi gaffe 6 years, 3 months ago
This can’t have anything to do with Kvyat’s recent mistakes. F1 has had all sorts of drivers making far worse and more frequent errors over the past 3-4 years alone. None of them had to pay with their seat.
This […]Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Vote for your 2016 Australian Grand Prix Driver of the Weekend 6 years, 4 months ago
It’s Romain Grosjean for me. I’m a sucker for underdog stories.
Rosberg, Ricciardo, Massa and Palmer all deserve a mention too.Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Frustrated Verstappen says he was "much faster" than Sainz 6 years, 4 months ago
Verstappen was faster today, but the team made the right decision to let its drivers race. Period.
It’s Max’s right to be frustrated with himself and/or Sainz, it’s his right to complain, it’s his right to […]
Antonio Nartea commented on the post, 2016 Australian Grand Prix grid 6 years, 5 months ago
Q2 and Q3 done after a single round of laps and a grid that looks less promising than everyone expected it to.
Not really a good start to what at-least-sort-of looked-like it could have been a game changer season […]Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Which team has the best-looking car for 2016? 6 years, 5 months ago
It’s Red Bull for me. That car’s front end is beautifully sculpted and it sports a superb livery in my opinion.
Manor’s would be the alternative. That is a proper oldschool look!Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Sauber technical director Smith stands down 6 years, 5 months ago
Yeah, but here’s the thing: who would buy Sauber?
The Ferrari scenario doesn’t seem practical to me. I believe Haas’s arrival now means that Ferrari just cut whatever cords it still had with […]Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Di Resta returns to F1 as Williams reserve driver 6 years, 5 months ago
Di Resta’s a safe pair of hands in case Bottas or Massa have to stand down for a race due to minor injuries or a suspension. They can’t run Alex Lynn in case of something so that’s where Di Resta comes in. Also […]
Antonio Nartea commented on the post, Sauber technical director Smith stands down 6 years, 5 months ago
This paints such a vivid picture about the prospects of Sauber for this year and forward…
Sad to say this, but that outfit is an irrepairable mess, and I’m afraid it’s become such a mess through bad […]

I don’t see either of their drivers staying unless McLaren manages to get itself in the upper-midfield zone by summer break.
