The cap fits for Bernie’s dream
"Another man with the background who is eyeing up the switch is A1GP Team Ireland principal Mark Gallagher. His team won the A1 Championship at Brands Hatch on Sunday and Gallagher, who is loaded with experience from Jordan F1, has not ruled out a return to the grand prix scene. […] “I have ambitions in F1, our driver Adam Carroll should be in F1 but you need to approach this carefully. We need to know exactly what is involved and, like everyone interested out there, I would like to see the exact details. If you are looking to be racing in 2010 you need to know very, very soon what is required.”"

"A rare 1983 Rolls-Royce Camargue previously owned by F1 head honcho Bernie Ecclestone and Sheikh Al Maktoum is for sale on Auto Trader."

It would be great to see an Irish team on the grid again

Is it Team Ireland F1 he is proposing? I thought the general idea behind the A1GP F1 team concept was that it would be Team A1GP and each season would field the winners from the previous A1GP season?
I have to admit, impracticalities aside, I quite like the latter ideas. Talk about a carrot for the young drivers racing in A1GP!

This is one of the best ideas I have heard in a long time. Letting drivers earn there way into F1 is a great concept.

Hmmmm, or possibly in F1 as Ferrari-Ireland? Since now A1GP cars are effectively a second-hand Ferrari, here is another opening for the Prancing Horse to stay in the game at a reduced cost.
And if I can think this out, why can’t they?
