Formula One’s official tyre supplier will continue to bring the softest tyres available for the 18th race of the season in Mexico.

Pirelli has nominated its softest compound mix for the ninth time this year for October’s Mexican Grand Prix. The ultra-soft, super-soft and soft tyres will be used.

It’s the first time the ultra-soft tyres have been brought to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

    1. If they keep going like that, they’ll need to introduce a new tyre: The Übersoft. Or Megasoft. Microsoft? Superultrasoft? Hypersoft?

      1. Jokes apart, there was some talk of retiring the Hard tire, and renaming the remaining ones – so the 2017 Medium would become the 2018 Hard … until the 2017 Ultra Soft becomes the 2018 Super Soft.

    2. Finally, common sense has prevailed, LOL. At least they had the guts to choose the softest combination for this venue which they should’ve done with Baku and Monza as well.
