Carlos Sainz will start the Canadian Grand Prix from the back row of the grid after receiving a five-place grid penalty for a gearbox change.
Toro Rosso elected to change the gearbox unit on Sainz’s car after assessing the damage following his Wall of Champions crash in Saturday’s qualifying.
The penalty moves Sainz down to 20th on the grid, ahead of Marcus Ericsson, while Kevin Magnussen will begin the race from the pitlane.
Daniil Kvyat, Joylon Palmer, Pascal Wehrlein, Felipe Nasr and Rio Haryanto all move up one spot as a result.
