Last year in the middle of lockdown, on recommendation by this site, I read the book ‘Faster’ by Neal Bascomb, a riveting tale about the Jewish driver Rene Dreyfus, his benefactor the pioneering Lucy O’Reilly Schell and their fight against the Nazi Grand Prix machine. The depictions of the brilliant 650 BHP cars, and further research has quickly made this one of my favourite eras in motorsport history. So, I was wondering if there were more well-written books about the subject.

The Grand Prix Saboteurs by Joe Saward is excellent.
