Good to read that McLaren did a good job to work with Ricciardo to try and hit the ground running.

From what I’ve seen at Mercedes / Wolff @srga91, they would actually take this and use it to motivate the team even more. And come out winning in the end.
Overcoming a disadvantage is a far better motivation […]

I guess in theory they might even put him in the car on a day Mercedes is running a Pirelli test @jerejj!
BasCB commented on the post, F1 planning new 'active aero' for 2025 cars to slash fuel consumption 5 days, 7 hours ago
I doubt they plan to do anything like that – they are now working with the engine manufacturers and fuel producers on making a top notch e-fuel spec that the future engine makers can work towards.
I guess it […]

I like that idea @hohum, would feel quite intuitive once they get used to it, and we could even try and get a camera or sensor on it, so that the TV viewers were able to get information about it too.

Honestly, @peartree, since they had to use their development tokens to actually fit that engine in, it shows they are doing a solid job by did not losing performance vs. the competition who did get to improve their chassis.

Good point made there @drmouse. While i kind of dig cars that automatically change their wings constantly on the track based on team simulation/optimization (and maybe allowing a few settings that are driver […]
I agree with you there on the weight thing @jerejj. I think that having 4 in hub motors might turn out to be even more efficient.
It would probably mean having motors that work as generators for the MGU-K […]
Sorry, but while that might be true, to an extent, one does have to questions whether that is actually an issue @proesterchern.
Thing is, do we have the target to fight the “evil” fossile fuel companies? Or do […]
Thanks for those significant details there @gt-racer!
BasCB commented on the post, Haas "not putting in any effort" to do more than fight Williams this year 1 week ago
Well, since Haas really doesn’t have much in the way of genuine sponsors though @coldfly, it does not make it much of a slap in the face.
I think that even for their genuine sponsor 1&1 (but also for the […]
BasCB commented on the post, Ferrari quicker than McLaren in qualifying but not race trim – Norris 1 week, 2 days ago
I think a lot of it comes from what they learned in testing and how the training sessions apparently confirmed their own analyses @wsrgo. Remember how Norris was not at all happy despite doing quite well in those […]

@alianora-la-canta – Sorry, I tend to have a solid esteem of you and your knowledge of F1 as well as your ideas and posts in general.
But I will not discuss with you when you keep putting words in my mouth. It […]
A rule that leaves room for interpretation is by definition not clear. – A rule that leaves no room for interpretation is almost certainly completely useless.
