Exediron commented on the post, Retiring on first lap of F1 debut was "very painful" – Mazepin 1 day, 6 hours ago
Not a good reason. Fewer than a handful of people on the planet could do what Hamilton does, hence his compensation. Anyone with the right connections could do what the CEO of Liberty does.

Which is precisely why something better is going to be needed before it can be used as a proof to get into events. I have a vaccine card, and anyone could forge one with the right template. It’s only intended for […]

Lando was talking about how Saturdays were their weak point last season, so he’s not just talking about one race.

Re: COTD – it’s not confusing for fans, it’s just angering. We understand the incompetence and spinelessness of the FIA very well.

For my part, I’m happy for them to mix it up at the front as soon as they come up with their own car. I’m not a fan of the Mercedes copy.
Exediron commented on the post, Interactive: Compare the new McLaren-Mercedes MCL35M with last year's car 2 months ago
First impressions are that it’s noticeably longer, and the sidepods are much tighter. Also a more Mercedes style nose.
As a Macca fan, I’m feeling optimistic! xD

@kingshark I would have agreed in 2019 that there were serious questions over Charles’ race pace, but in 2020 I thought it looked very strong. A few times he qualified the car out of position and I expected him to […]
Exediron commented on the post, 2020 F1 driver rankings #2: Max Verstappen 2 months, 1 week ago
@kingshark Beating Perez clearly won’t prove Max is the fastest in the sport. There’s still no good direct link between Max and Charles.
Exediron commented on the post, 2020 F1 driver rankings #5: Daniel Ricciardo 2 months, 2 weeks ago
I think a lot of people commenting on this rating versus Leclerc’s future (and as-yet unknown) rating are putting far too much emphasis on mistakes and making some seriously flawed assumptions about outright pace. […]
Exediron commented on the post, Five Ferrari juniors to join Sainz and Leclerc at Fiorano test 2 months, 3 weeks ago
I think the COTD is being too easily influenced by hype and storylines and letting that get in the way of evaluating driver performance.
Objectively — by both the eye test and teammate A>B>C comparisons — […]

You think you’re pretty funny with that, don’t you? Pretty clever, with your snide little comment to imply they were both being silly when they complained about the coverage?
I don’t think you are.

Those countries are far from great, but Saudi Arabia is even worse. It is one of the most barbaric states in existence in the modern world, and buys everyone’s complicity with a river of oil money.

I think you’re confusing 2018 and 2019. There is indeed widespread agreement that Hamilton would have won in the 2018 Ferrari. Not so much the 2019 car, although it’s a definite possibility in my opinion.

Agree. I think the COTD fundamentally misunderstands the way the rules work.

No, it’s really not ‘each to their own’. That fundamentally misunderstands the entire purpose of these measures.
The bubble isn’t designed to protect Leclerc, and he likely put himself at very minimal risk by […]
