glacierre commented on the post, How F1 drivers helped Codemasters make "massive gains" with F1 2020's realism 3 years ago
This is exactly it. I hated so much RFactor 1/2 because of this, the driving in ice at low speed is insufferable. I have done quite a few laps in karts, which are not precisely the grippiest cars, and there is no […]

glacierre commented on the post, Vettel vs Leclerc round two: Complete Ferrari Russian Grand Prix team radio transcript 3 years, 8 months ago
For me is clear Vettel was fully aware of what he was doing (and that he was doing it against the pre-plan). The idea was to string along Leclerc (in a circuit where is very difficult to follow/pass), to show that […]

Although McLaren was far from nice to Perez and KMag, they are still both in F1 somehow. The TR ex-drivers simply dissapear!

Marca trustworthy? There is an immense gallery of front pages promising earth-shattering signs for Real Madrid that never happened.
(But like, really immense)

glacierre commented on the post, Sainz "nearly vomited" because he couldn't stop drinking 5 years, 2 months ago
Why didn’t he remove it sooner?
Total 100% guessing here: maybe the pump is pre-programmed to supply some slow flow of fluid to the drivers so they stay hydrated. Something like 50 ml per lap (drivers lose up t […]

glacierre commented on the post, Rate the race: 2017 Brazilian Grand Prix 5 years, 6 months ago
Race was okay-ish. But coverage was quite bad, the last few laps with MAS-ALO-PER were probably nice to have, but instead we got RAI-HAM even when they were in parts of the circuit were there was not going to be […]

glacierre commented on the post, Lap time watch: Renault make biggest gain again 5 years, 7 months ago
I think Toro rosso improved little in Mexico because both drivers are basically brand new in the car (and track). I would expect a few tenths better performance had they kept the experienced drivers.

Adding an “a” (wants a sign) would have helped a lot.

I’d rather like a scatter plot race score vs. overtakes than the confusing line+bar chart. The correlation coefficient and that graph should pretty much go together.

glacierre commented on the post, Brown predicts fifth win-less season for McLaren 6 years, 3 months ago
I think the year with RIC in RB is more damaging for Vettel’s reputation than his stint at Ferrari. It is rather clear (to me at least) that both Alonso and Vettel did their best, unlike their Ferrari. Sure they […]

Also with the blue top and the yellow-red back it seems a helmet much more fitting to Alonso. http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/alonso-helmet-2016-38.jpg

glacierre commented on the post, Liberty Media 'preparing to sideline Ecclestone' 6 years, 4 months ago
I think because Vandoorne does not have much hype. Hype inevitably will backfire and some people will feel the need to play devil’s advocate against exaggerated optimism (see VES which generates extremely […]

And in the case of Sauber, Manor, Williams, the tie fo suppliers is somehow weak.
But the RB-TR teams are exactly as independent as they must be to fulfill regulations and human limits of workload. Ultimately […]

glacierre commented on the post, Vote for your 2016 United States Grand Prix Driver of the Weekend 6 years, 7 months ago
With RB+Ferrari a car less any mercedes-engiend car (except manor) could be expected to be 5th. Hulkemberg was out, Perez also smashed out, and Bottas (for whatever reason) out of the picture. So Massa 5th is not […]

glacierre commented on the post, Verstappen calls for blue flag talks 6 years, 7 months ago
VES should get used to it, driving a RB pretty much guarantees that you will catch up with crappy cars exactly in the twistiest narrowest sector (since that is where the RB is comparatively much better), which are […]
