@hammerheadgb kyle don’t be so naive, if you don’t see that Max is more talented than Sergio, then change the sport. Sergio if he would drive million laps on any track more than Max, Max would still beat him. This is not about a car, this is about manipulation of the car in mid corners, manipulation of the car in the braking zone. All weekend Max…[Read more]

@hammerheadgb @geemac Afraid the error crept in during the edit – it’s sorted now.

@hammerheadgb It’s hard to say much about it when we don’t know what it says. It should be a condition of the request for a review that you letter is published.

@hammerheadgb Same.

But then his pace in the race wasn’t any better so the stewards were definitely shown for fools then @hammerheadgb
F1oSaurus commented on the post, 2020 F1 driver rankings #5: Daniel Ricciardo 1 year, 3 months ago
@hammerheadgb To be honest his 2020 campaign was also littered with incidents and poor performances. For instance a car fast enough to take 7 poles and then win only 2 of those races.

@hammerheadgb Regarding the ceremony, it probably won’t happen until the summer for covid reasons and I wouldn’t be surprised if it is William that carries it out, although I think the Queen gave him the MBE in 2009.

@hammerheadgb @frood19 There is also a Knight Batchelor which pre-dates the empire by several hundred years and is in fact one of the oldest knighthoods. This is the knighthood like that of the Knights of the […]

@hammerheadgb I thought I was probably being a bit naive, though I was assuming that the knighthood system stemmed from the medieval templar knights (which is a pretty murky tradition from a pretty nasty period of […]

@red-andy @tflb @hammerheadgb
He can get to 40 even if he’d drop to 6th by merely doing FP1 in Abu Dhabi and the post-race test, so either way, set to become eligible.TFLB commented on the post, Shwartzman wins as Ilott crash helps Schumacher extend points lead 1 year, 5 months ago
@hammerheadgb An Alpha Tauri seat that could accommodate Albon and make room for Perez at RB, perhaps.

@hammerheadgb I think he meant to say that, ever since 2008 Monza, Vettel has not spent more than a year without a podium finish

@hammerheadgb although it is not exactly written that way, I believe the stat is for a new team that wins a race in their first year. Brawn was a new team in 2009 and AlphaTauri is also a new team, at least in name.

@hammerheadgb Their story is well spun perhaps, but it’s very far fetched.
The stewards always talk like that. It means nothing. They do it with drivers who are completely innocent of an incident too.

@hammerheadgb lol, some of the greatest crimes in human history have been committed in courts :-) so yeah, I totally agree that they wouldn’t uphold it.

These were not the Styrian GP’s stewards ruling on the matter @hammerheadgb. It was a panel installed later since the stewards in Austria referred the matter to the next ones, since they were not able to rule on […]

Racing Point legally acquired the plans for these parts from Mercedes in 2019:
The matter was further complicated by the fact Racing Point used Mercedes’ front brake ducts on its car in 2019, but w […]Michael commented on the post, Racing Point given 15-point deduction and fined £360,000 as stewards uphold Renault protest 1 year, 9 months ago
@hammerheadgb Actually it does, as once Racing Point has seen the design, they would have to go to extreme limits to avoid using it perhaps being unable to compete in F1. Seeing the design was legal in 2019 and […]

@hammerheadgb even so, Merc providing a part for analysis that RP already have the CAD drawings for isn’t really a meaningful exchange of design information.

@hammerheadgb I disagree with the notion that continuing to use their rear brake ducts would be a willful breach of the regulations: the penalty covers the process of designing the part, not the use of the part. A […]

That isn’t what I said. What I am saying is that you cannot take last season as absolute proof that Max > Sergio by 0.8 seconds, forever and always. We can only ever view the drivers through the lens of their given equipment, under this current lens it looks like Max > Sergio by maybe 0.2s. Close enough for the old adage “every dog has its…[Read more]
