hawkii commented on the post, Stewards urge new Safety Car guidance to avoid "unfortunate incident" after near-miss 9 months, 3 weeks ago
Have designated sections of the track where the 10-car length rule doesn’t apply to allow for tyre/brake temp, have a minimum gap on straights, other ideas that people far smarter and more involved than me can c […]
hawkii commented on the post, Second retirement in three races is "unacceptable" – Verstappen 9 months, 3 weeks ago
Wasn’t intending to critique the decision to stay/go at the time (winning a title justifies it in full imo), just pointing out the WDC and new contract honeymoon might be pretty short lived.
hawkii commented on the post, Stewards urge new Safety Car guidance to avoid "unfortunate incident" after near-miss 9 months, 3 weeks ago
Masi decided before the day was even over after the Tuscan GP that everything was safe and nothing needed changing. Todays incident was proof that it needed looking into, not instantly dismissing.
Good to see […]
hawkii commented on the post, Second retirement in three races is "unacceptable" – Verstappen 9 months, 3 weeks ago
Remember, before it settled down a couple of seasons ago, the Verstappen’s were threatening to leave due to reliability frustrations. Can’t be long until we hear that narrative again…those get-out clauses in […]
hawkii commented on the post, Turn one kerb removal leads to track limits change before race 1 year, 3 months ago
Why are these kerbs still being used anywhere?
The fact they keep needing to be removed for safety, should highlight the fact that they’re inherently unsafe! It shouldn’t take someone having to be launched from […]
hawkii commented on the post, Sprint trial "progressing in the right direction" – Domenicali 1 year, 4 months ago
What’s going to determine the sprint grid without any form of qualifying, finishing results from the last race, reverse results from the last race, championship order? o_O

Never thought I’d see the day. Fair play Horner.
hawkii commented on the post, Alonso feels "a little bit stupid" for obeying track limits at start 1 year, 6 months ago
He should count himself lucky they didn’t decide he was worthy of a 5-second penalty for not giving them more space /rollseyes
hawkii commented on the post, Albon and Ricciardo given penalty points, Grosjean cleared over turn two infringement 2 years, 4 months ago
The direction penalties and rules are heading under Masi is not good. There’s stamping your own mark on a job, then there’s what he’s doing: going so far beyond the mark you just appear to have Napoleon syndrome.
hawkii commented on the post, Stewards cancel Hamilton's two penalty points for practice start violations 2 years, 4 months ago
We all heard this on the race broadcast, it’s not like it was some obscure hidden message that wasn’t transmitted. Why are the stewards issuing penalty points in the first place without their investigations […]
hawkii commented on the post, F1 drivers banned from wearing T-shirts on podium after Hamilton's Breonna Taylor protest 2 years, 4 months ago
Wasn’t part of the point that it was a no-knock warrant? So no, they didn’t knock. They burst into someone’s home unannounced in the middle of the night.
As you say it’s important to explain the full story.
hawkii commented on the post, Raikkonen thought he might get away with pit entry violation in Mugello 2 years, 4 months ago
There are rules about not crossing white lines and staying on track that don’t seem to get enforced anywhere near as stringently so you can understand why he thought it was a possibility.
hawkii commented on the post, No need to change Safety Car restart rule – Masi 2 years, 4 months ago
The stewards had a look at it from the instant blame perspective while the event was still finishing and announced the result the same day. That is not the same as someone not looking to assign blame sitting back […]
hawkii commented on the post, No need to change Safety Car restart rule – Masi 2 years, 4 months ago
“that alone dismisses investigation”
…shows you’re completely missing the point. Safety is involved, this could have been catastrophic. As I said above, Masi is quite possibly correct, but you NEVER dismiss […]
hawkii commented on the post, No need to change Safety Car restart rule – Masi 2 years, 4 months ago
^^ exactly this. It’s not the rights and wrongs of the specifics of this situation, it’s the process for reaching the conclusion.
hawkii commented on the post, No need to change Safety Car restart rule – Masi 2 years, 4 months ago
It’s getting increasingly irksome to see him make these comments. For someone in a position of safety to just dismiss these concerns, seemingly so flippantly, is worrying. If you have a safety mandate you i […]
hawkii commented on the post, F1 can use Bahrain's short track but not Silverstone's – Masi 2 years, 7 months ago
“The FIA’s minimum length requirement for Formula 1 circuits is 3.5km.”
Is there any logic or specific reasoning behind this other than just having picked an arbitrary number at some point in the past? As M […]
