Good race. Thankfully the drs wasn’t too effective, so it didn’ diminish the close racing and intense fighting. That’s as it should be, great drivers trying hard to overtake or defend, trying to force a mistake, […]
I hope, if any team is found guilty of exceeding the cap, that the punishment will be so severe no one ever tries to do it again.
I’m thinking Mclaren copygate size punishment. You want to cheat? Fine, your […]
This is exactly what I need to free up some of my weekends. used to be an F1 weekend was special, and I’d look forward to it and make plans around it.
Now I guess I’ll just watch it once in a while when it’s on a […]
DRS has taken away the thrill of a faster car behind a skilled driver in a slower car.
It’s a cheat button.
I’d much sooner like to watch two skilled drivers, one defending furiously and the other trying […]
At this point I’m sorry Hamilton isn’t a Ferrari driver. The radio communication would’ve been hilarious.
So it will be plan K and plan Z after a few laps?
I think it’s time to stop pushing Leclerc as Verstappen’s main title rival. However close some races may be (and I love that, what I want from F1 is wheel to wheel racing, always and forever), it’s obvious that […]
If Monaco is the soul of F1 (and it is), then Spa is it’s beating heart.
A very good race, even though RB were uncontested. Many good overtakes, especially the ones where the outdated and unnecessary DRS wasn’t used.
I agree, the drivers’ attitude is a part of the problem.
Leclerc is clearly faster and more consistent, and is de facto if not de iure No 1 driver, but seems quite timid and too agreeable and indulging when […]
It’s part of the challenge. If you can become an F1 WC in a Ferrari, you can do it anywhere!
So, if they think they can’t win, they should do whatever they can to lose?
First, I think they had the pace. And if not for a win, then certainly for some podium places.
Second, he’s defending a terrible, […]
On reflection, I think Verstappen didn’t spin at all. When he saw Ferrari put Leclerc on the hards he did a mid race victory donut.
In the post race interview Leclerc looked very calm and collected, a bit dissapointed, but not at all surprised or angry.
I think that says a lot.
I just watched Binotto say they had to put Leclerc on hard tires because the car wasn’t working as they expected. Is the strategist his nephew or something?
At this point, it’s no longer the strategists’ fault, it’s Binotto’s for keeping them in their place.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Leclerc starts to underperform to trigger a clause in the contract.
I’ll say one thing about Ferrari, they are consistent.
Great race by RB and Verstappen, even a driver error couldn’t slow them enough for Ferrari strategists.
Good drive by both Mercedes, glad to see them back in the mix.
Great lap by Russell, realy put it together.
Still, I doubt Mercedes caught up with Ferrari’s and RB’s race pace, s barring rain I think a podium is probable, but it will be hard to keep the Ferraris […]
If it were dry, I’d say this one goes to Sainz on account of his new engine. But if it rains, then it’s more luck than anything.
The driver on the right part of the track at the right time could be anyone.
Beeing a father changes you. I can fully understand his reasons. You star thinking about what would happen to your kid(s) if something happened to you. Takes the will to risk your life for an extra tenth of a lap […]
I remember reading back when RB and Vettel were winning consecutive championships that their involvement in F1 is worth many hundreds of millions annually (I don’t remember the actual figure, but it was much more […]
