For me, Hamilton and Vettel were pretty much a match this year on the track (I don’t buy he whole comparison with teammate argument…Raikkonen is past it and I believe Hamilton would beat him with similar ease). […]

That was on the first lap. He lost a couple of car lengths.

Not from me you didn’t. I’ve always said Vettel is an expert in managing races from the front.

a) they asked him twice -they told him to target a lap time (43.7 I believe) and his next lap was 43.696. The second time they asked him to speed up if he didn’t want ROS to pit first. Rosberg did put first and it […]

so not only did Hamilton drive the perfect race for him and the team that guaranteed a 1-2 with him ahead, but he also nearly made things even better for him and the team by switching the order of the Ferraris. […]

I doubt rain will help Ferrari as they’re running less downforce. If they get ahead of the Mercs at the start though, they could prove a real challenge to get BOTH Mercs by.

Yeh, because at the moment nobody suspects Merc are quick….

So…last year we had “red bull are beaten” (RB10) and this year it’s “red bull are be leavin'” (RB11)???

The problem for Horner and Red Bull is that, unlike when they were winning, as far as I’m aware, Merc aren’t sailing ludicrously close to the wind when it comes to technical regulations. Whereas RB were doing things clearly against the “spirit” of the regulations, which could easily be banned with a single “clarification”, I haven’t heard of any…[Read more]

I don’t understand what Rosberg is really saying in his reply. Can someone explain what he means by…

As a Hamilton fan, I’m hoping Rosberg gets the better start and leads into T1. I think that’s tge only way we’ll get a fight for the lead.
But even if that’s not the case, the fight for 3rd should provide […]

All those things are part of racing (except possibly Singapore), but having a win taken off you when you haven’t actually broken a rule is not!
Jake commented on the post, 2014 F1 Driver Rankings #2: Fernando Alonso 6 years, 4 months ago
I personally would have ranked Alonso 3rd behind Hamilton. Having read the whole of the driver rankings, I think the main reason for differing opinions lays in how one ranks the teammates of the top 3, directly […]

@fer-no65 but the number of titles means nothing if the drivers are struggling for reasons specific to how they work with the car. And if that’s not true, then let me raise you the fact that Rosberg destroyed a […]

Can’t see how someone can be considered to not done enough when they were only legitimately beaten by their teammate twice, on both occasions showing better pace.
Jake commented on the post, 2014 F1 Driver Rankings #3: Lewis Hamilton 6 years, 4 months ago
Can’t agree with this one personally. You have to give extra credit when someone has the pressure of fighting for the title. He won 11 races, only the 3rd driver ever to do so, and the only one to do so with a […]

The rankings show that @keithcollantine only believes 3 other drivers could have pushed Hamilton any harder, so hardly a regular joe. And when you consider how comfortably he was outpaced in the majority of races […]
