Yeah, I am sure they would be VERY happy to take more @qeki

Yeah, sadly that seems the most inspired thing about this new livery though. Those Gulf logos represent at best a “preffered lubricant supplier” deal with the company, apart from that there still is a huge lack of […]
BasCB commented on the post, Perez aims to "fight for the win every weekend" in 2023 3 days ago
I actually think this is rather more meant to be that his aim is to be on the pace so much that he is in a position to fight for the win every weekend (since yeah, he will not be allowed to fight for any wins that […]
BasCB commented on the post, Is this the year Williams break free from the back of the grid? 3 days ago
I find myself hard pressed to believe Williams can really break away from being at the back end of the grid.
On the other hand, surely they can build on the things they learned with last years car, a car that […]

Yes, the engines will be made by Red Bull power and paid for by Ford.
BasCB commented on the post, Will Red Bull dominate again as their development handicap bites in 2023? 5 days ago
It will probably just mean that they did not increase their advantage too much. It will hardly affect how they are able to execute the racing on track and in the pitlane. And it will just mean they will have to […]

:-) yeah, a bit of a cringy moment. Then again, Cadillac did not sign up as an engine manufacturer but rather as a sponsor using someone else’s engine

Welcome back. The more the merrier.
BasCB commented on the post, Ericsson "still a bit p****d off about the ending" after 2022 IndyCar title defeat 6 days, 6 hours ago
I think it actually works great to get on the grid and get going relatively fast and easily Peter. It just means that you postpone the actually building of a team that is able to dig down, sort out issues and […]

Yeah, and also it shows we (and F1) shouldn’t just throw drivers under the bus as soon as they/we often do the second things don’t go perfectly @sjaakfoo!

Good point, a bit of a missed opportunity there.

A lot better than staying with tooling grey though. While it is not exactly stunning, it looks far better than most of their liveries so far.
BasCB commented on the post, Sexist comments Ben Sulayem made in 2001 "do not reflect his current beliefs" 1 week, 4 days ago
I’m fine with people looking it up and asking about it, he’s a public figure and the remark was public when made after all @banbrorace
But I see little reason to give it more attention than it deserves – he […]

That would be a positive sign @tifoso1989, it would mean they haven’t yet siphoned off most of that!

Yeah, it really depends on how the drivers do compared to each other.

Quite true Louie. It would be epic to see him have a shot at winning the 500 now, but regardless of whether it happens, he has already shown the world who he is and what he is able to do.
BasCB commented on the post, US drivers like Sargeant need F1 experience before joining Haas – Steiner 2 weeks, 1 day ago
Indeed. Off course by then, the question the driver will ask would be: Why would I go to your team Mr. Steiner, when there are better teams interested in me.

Yeah, I think this is more about allowing people to persue their own goals over time @jerejj than anything about Mercedes long term planning to bring him back in.
It does show how Mercedes is build with a solid […]
George commented on the post, Which team has the best driver line-up on the 2023 F1 grid? 3 weeks, 3 days ago
I agree with most of this. I feel like the atmosphere at Ferrari got a bit hysterical last year which lead to the drivers’ errors, but it’s difficult to put them ahead of Merc considering how rock solid Russell […]
