Lets face it. Williams need the money and this is an easy way of getting a bit without doing too much damage.
The only driver they are seriously going to race in that junior section is the one that did, Aitken.

I’d say one of the biggest problems to F1 safety has been solved already.
Grosjean retiring from F1. Lets face it, he swept across the track like a rookie on the first lap of a race. The bloke was an idiot.
jre_f1 commented on the post, Can F1's controversial Saudi Arabian race really be a 'positive force'? 11 months, 2 weeks ago
Ofocurse it can’t.
F1 changed nothing in China, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi etc or further back South Africa.
Its a cynical clasping of the cash. Liberty said they’d do one thing and they are doing precisely the […]
jre_f1 commented on the post, Why Honda's fourth F1 departure is different – and what it says about the sport 1 year ago
I’ve said for years F1 should go to a stock engine if its insistant in these hybrid things.
Its just an r&d money pit that has no road relevance anyway as the road is going full electric.
F1 needs to go […]

I don’t want to say he’s delusional…
…but he’s completely delusional.
They could also go to Estoril or Valencia or Jerez instead?!

I think they look ok, side on they look good, alittle ungainly from the front but the halo looks cumv=bersome in every angle.
It looks like a less of a afterthought than the halo and it does actually give […]

Can’t say I’ll miss that scheme, it looked like a tube of Aquafresh toothpaste.
This is not the time to try and sell an f1 team.

Norris is clearly very good. Its too early to say how good but we’ll get a better idea in his second season.
I did have a theory that if the f1 season is delayed to the Autumn and indycar does start in say […]
jre_f1 commented on the post, Norris spins and wins in dramatic IndyCar iRacing debut 1 year, 5 months ago
Really enjoyed it actually. Sure its not the real thing but the competition is real and thats 75% of everything.
The F1 competition is a bit pants in comparison, its just not as competitive or as interesting […]
jre_f1 commented on the post, Can F1 get close to a full grid of drivers for its Virtual Grands Prix? 1 year, 6 months ago
Indycar have made f1 look silly. 2020 cars and drivers, almost the full field of drivers and a more hardcore sim to race on.
The fact lando Norris is driving the indycar race this weekend says a lot!!

I use project cars on ps4 which is a good middle ground, you can neuter it so its more playable for casual gamers or take the aids off for more realism.
I don’t like PC gaming, its too difficult to get them […]
jre_f1 commented on the post, Brawn "optimistic" F1 will hold at least 17 races in 2020 1 year, 7 months ago
If you take a look at the calendar, there just isn’t the scope in a 22 race mush we have now to slot races in.
The only scope you have left is to pump the summer break full of races, if Barcelona and Holland […]
It would be nice if they went to a low downforce layout. It would be more interesting to make it a bit more like Monza than every other track in f1.
There hasn’t been a decent race at catalunya in 25 years so this was no surprise.
I’ve never in 23 years of watching felt so uninspired and disinterested in formula one. Its boring, predictable, the cars don’t […]
I disagree completely. The girls in formula 1 are dressed fairly sensibly, its a bit of showbiz, a bit of Hollywood, there is nothing seedy about it. Its fun, the girls love doing it, its a bit of icing on the […]
Looks like Sauber have had all their sponsors nicked, oh dear.
It does look like a McLaren, no doubt about it, seems to have taken a boat load of inspiration from the 05 car!
Kept the number of colours down, very nice.
jre_f1 commented on the post, Korea's surprise return means record 21 races in 2015 6 years, 10 months ago
21 races is just too many for me, quantity over quality.
I’ve never liked Abu dhabi, too much money and not enough design contraints, leading to a very poorly thought out design. Sochi is awful, soul less and […]
