His attitude on the radio may be like Verstappen’s, but his talent is nowhere near.
Most over-rated driver in this list. He’s basically a French version of Kvyat, and his career will be no better.

Specifically look at the sidepods. The 2018 model looks dramatically better.

@robbie
Maybe true, but they would have been several spots higher in the WCC standings each year, with the attendant increase in prize money. Plus they likely wouldn’t have lost as many sponsors.Going […]

If you want to see a really interesting view of team performance, turn off all but Mercedes, Ferrari, Red Bull, and McLaren.
This chart is precisely why I never bought into the idea that McLaren had to switch […]

True, Porsche wasn’t running diesel, but there are still some class action lawsuits and potential regulatory actions against VAG because of dieselgate that could run into the billions of dollars. VAG doesn’t want […]

Helmut Marko, voice of reason in discussions about a Red Bull team and Renault engines.
Ok, I almost managed to say that with a straight face.

You do realize that Ferrari were part of FIAT until very recently, right?
You do also realize that Marchionne is CEO of both FIAT and Ferrari, right?
Why on Earth would he do what you’re describing?
Kevin Amery commented on the post, Hartley takes Gasly's place at Toro Rosso for US GP 5 years, 5 months ago
For those of you who haven’t been watching WEC the last couple of years, Hartley is one of the fastest guys in LMP1, up there with Jani, Lotterer, Buemi, and Davidson. Definitely a good choice on talent and professionalism.
Kevin Amery commented on the post, Grosjean: F1 return not impossible for Palmer 5 years, 5 months ago
Exactly. Grosjean had speed but was erratic — that can be fixed by adding control. Palmer is just slow and unlucky — neither of those can be fixed.

Agreed. For some reason in this feature a given mistake or failing is always given more weight when it’s Raikkonen than for any other driver.

Exactly — how does Ericsson not count as a struggler when he crashes out through an unforced error? He really should be following Palmer out of F1.

It’s interesting to read the history of the McHonda relationship and then look at Honda saying they are targeting the top 3 with Torro Rosso. More over promising and under delivering methinks…

Thing is, it doesn’t matter what people *say* will happen next year, regardless of how well connected they might be.
What matters is what happens on the track.
What’s been happening on the track the past 3 […]
