They also liked the one-stop strategy so much at the end that they decided to give that fastest lap extra point to VER by not pitting Bottas after PER passed him.

The question has a bit more — HAM gap to VER was similar to that of VER gap to BOT. If BOT couldn’t benefit from the same undercut, how come VER managed to do it? Maybe, Mercedes underestimated VER’s outlap […]
Have been looking at news if someone asked this question to HAM or Mercedes. But no news yet. Am curious as well.
What you mention was his first attempt in Q2. HAM set his fast lap on the second attempt in Q2 with a scrubbed set, which he used for the race.
It’s a strange word. Often one assumes it is equivalent of “very” but it is not.
As the saying goes, the difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little “extra”.

“Red Bull and Mercedes out-paced them handily, and Lewis Hamilton gave a pessimistic assessment.”
Red Bull and Ferrari?
Just like how we all could see how the Red Bull front wing flexed under load while he won the world championships, but still all passed load tests.

There’s a difference between caring about your own safety when talking about halo device and caring about the safety of marshals when speeding through a double yellow. Hamilton cares about the safety of marshals […]
I don’t understand why they are not able to come up with something concrete here that will provide a driver absolutely no incentive to drive fast in a double yellow sector. Here are couple of options that they […]
