HK commented on the post, Capito was 'not keen on changing two drivers at once' at Williams in 2022 2 weeks, 2 days ago
Makes sense to me. Basically every driver who has changed teams recently has at some point admitted that they initially copied their settled-in team mate’s setup which is known to work with the car. Yes 2022 will […]
HK commented on the post, Red Bull must release Albon from contract before he can join Williams – Wolff 3 weeks, 1 day ago
Really don’t like the sound of this. It’s one thing if the team requires him to be a free agent. But the PU manufacturer? How do they even have a say in any of this.
IMO the FIA should consider doing something […]
Prefer to see Albon at Alpha Tauri over Tsunoda. Not sure if he’s any less talented than Tsunoda. At least his professionalism is much better.
Main thing for Red Bull surely is to keep Albon happy and “in the […]
HK commented on the post, F1 team mate battles at mid-season: Gasly vs Tsunoda 1 month, 1 week ago
I’d much rather see Albon alongside Gasly next year. It would be so much better for the team. Less frustration, better results, less swearing. They could fight it out for a RB-seat in 2023.
Personally i’ve seen […]
I think this is a close case, but you have to wonder; Why is a car which has obtained damage to its aero parts deemed legal even though it may no longer comply to the geometrical specification in the regulations. […]
HK commented on the post, Will Formula 1's new cars for 2022 prove a change for the better? 2 months ago
I feel like these regulations will be hugely positive no matter what, because they are essentially a dubble edged sword: Aside from being formulated restrictively to ensure that they delivered on the goal of […]
I’m starting to get annoyed by Perez his poor performance. After all this time, Max is still going up against Lewis and Bottas all by himself. Perez just isn’t on the pace often enough and makes too many mistakes. […]
HK commented on the post, Who should Mercedes hire as Hamilton's team mate for 2022? 2 months, 2 weeks ago
I think this is as simple as they cannot leave Russel at Williams forever. His development there will plateau. And so will his patience.
HK commented on the post, Ricciardo looking forward to tracks that "don't bite as much" after Baku 3 months, 2 weeks ago
Being relieved to go to an open track with lots of run-off – All time low in confidence for Ricciardo right now it seems like. He’ll likely turn it around some time this season, but right now it must be pretty tough mentally.
Some brutal comments coming Bottas’ way. I wonder if thats really fair on him. After all he was used as a tool in qualifying so that Lewis could get the slipstream. Additionally, he was given a different wing and […]
Fair enough to make him work for it, so he’ll respect and concider the work others in his team are putting in. He’s got to learn to be humble, focussed and look inward instead of blaming the team/car.
HK commented on the post, Leclerc on pole after crashing on final lap in Monaco 4 months, 1 week ago
What on earth was Perez doing. With such a short lap that’s a huge deficit.
In addition to the Ferrari drivers and Verstappen, Bottas and Norris did great too. Solid performance from Gasly and Vettel as well.
HK commented on the post, "Bendy" wing rule tweak will cost us a fortune, Vasseur warns 4 months, 1 week ago
I agree with Vasseur. It’s madness to alter the requirements mid-season. Teams have been engineering bending wings for years. Not just one team but the majority if not all of them. The FIA has had many […]
HK commented on the post, Vote for your 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix Driver of the Weekend 6 months ago
Hamilton and Verstappen supreme as they often are. Voted Hamilton for pulling off those long stints.
Norris and Alonso did well too. But not on the same level.
HK commented on the post, Different track limits rules for qualifying and race in Bahrain 6 months ago
So what if on sunday some driver decides to overtake around the outside of turn 4, totally and clearly leaving the track?
The FIA make a mess of such simple things…
Feels like Jody Egginton is one of those people who give a great explanation of the situation they’re in and the complexity of it but fails to adress the question. He kinda dances around it. A great read none the less.
