@montreal95 the chicane was added after a Moto rider crashed and lost his life at the original fast right hander. I don’t know why they can’t have 2 separate layouts for MotoGP and F1, considering the barrier […]

and DRS will be more powerful@montreal95 Remember that the plan is that they won’t use DRS next year & are looking to finally take it off the cars altogether if the new regulations work as hoped.
Erzen commented on the post, FIA "looking at" removing Catalunya's chicane for future F1 races 1 year, 10 months ago
@montreal95 The problem isn’t the track itself, rather the run off. There’s literally no space to make the run off wider and at the speed that the cars would take the last corner with the old configuration would […]

@montreal95 I was about to post something similar, but yes, the change wouldn’t be difficult as the former track part still exists, so they’d merely have to relocate two white lines. Bahrain’s layout change last […]

@montreal95 I agree it looks a bit more promising than some think. With two consecutive DRS zones before T27, it may be just wide enough to force the lead car to have to cover the inside every now and then, which […]

@montreal95 Ha! T27 looks akin the the hairpin at Nurburgring, and I can’t remember much overtaking round there at the last race.
T1, watch the video mate. I honestly can’t see any overtaking through there. […]
Mashiat commented on the post, 2020 F1 driver rankings #16: Giovinazzi 2 years, 2 months ago
@montreal95 The conversation was about this past season, why does it matter if he won a world championship 13 years ago? That doesn’t automatically make him a better driver than Giovinazzi by default right now. B […]

@montreal95 Er, yes they were. All 4 of them others were up on his splits. But he got lucky due to being the first and only of the front-runners to get the second run in.

@montreal95 – well, good to hear that work is flowing for you!
To me the motives of them ARE important. Because it can hint to what they are NOT telling us. Surveys about how important the sound is were made […]

Sigh, where to start with that one @montreal95. Well, let me try.
First of all, the complaints started with Bernie before he EVER heard one. They were loudly supported by Red Bull as soon as they learned their […]

@montreal95 but the no-nose population wouldn’t be 100% ugly – it would have the same spread of attractiveness that the existing world has. If it was normal to have no nose, a person with a nose would be seen as […]

@montreal95 Well in the same breath they talk about Correa’s car being inverted. So they are clearly talking about what part of the car (or what’s left of it I guess) is resting on the tarmac. They literally write […]

@montreal95 Ehm … you read that wrong. The mistake is not about where his car was hit.
However, the report states “car number 19 came to rest on track on its left-hand side”. While the cockpit was actually upright.

Nothing unrealistic about it, drivers are causing problems by keeping full throttle when they go off track, it is a huge safety problem. How to force them to lift, either require them to come to a […]Phylyp commented on the post, FIA report on Hubert's fatal crash clears drivers of responsibility 3 years, 1 month ago
