Marc Thielke commented on the post, Proposed Miami Grand Prix track faces changes due to land dispute 5 years ago
I would fly back to Seattle to see an F1 car zoom up the waterfront to Lake Union and get airborne going over First Hill and down to Pike Place Market. I recall the pavement was more suited for rally cars than […]

Marc Thielke commented on the post, Proposed Miami Grand Prix track faces changes due to land dispute 5 years ago
A quick glance on google earth led me to think this should easily not be a problem. The “public park” is in the shadow of the Port Boulevard bridge that services the huge island where all the cruise ships are […]

Marc Thielke commented on the post, More track limits trouble? Five Mexican Grand Prix talking points 5 years, 7 months ago
In kayaking and skiing they don’t have trouble with the ‘allowed course’ , they have little poles that couldn’t hurt anybody that bounce back if hit. If you go on the wrong side of it you get a penalty, simples.

Marc Thielke commented on the post, Vettel handed three penalty points for Hamilton clash 5 years, 11 months ago
After Vet got the message about the penalty did he even remember side-swiping another competitor? He even acted as if everyone was talking about rear-ending Ham was the “dangerous driving” everyone was going on […]

Good to read that Lewis and Jenson have reached out to support the poor lad. I too hope Billy sees Alex as an inspiration not just for life but a possible return to racing/competition.

Marc Thielke commented on the post, Hamilton accepts blame for 'slow and erratic' driving penalty 6 years, 1 month ago
Yeah, the pit entry is one thing but the cars were very close at the pit lane speed limit line and Danny was rightly confused by Lewis’ actions. ‘Racing’ there endangered the Merc crew IMHO.

I suppose Kimi does this. But technically, having a beer at Lej Da La Pesch near St Moritz is not ‘high altitude training’….despite being at about 2700metres. :p

Marc Thielke commented on the post, Perez and Mexican GP promoters back anti-Trump campaign 6 years, 3 months ago

Max: I think people have had enough of my hubris. Thanks for the offer Joe; as much as I ache to be relevant, I decline.

Marc Thielke commented on the post, Who should Mercedes hire to replace Rosberg? 6 years, 5 months ago
I wonder if someone on the Merc team remembers Alonso not pulling away from the pit box to slow down his teammate when they were double stacking a pit stop? Merc had a hissy fit with Lewis at the last race. I […]

Marc Thielke commented on the post, Lowe refused to give Hamilton a second order to speed up 6 years, 5 months ago
It was clear Lewis was trying to win the WDC and it was clear the team wanted Nico to win it. Thats all fair.
It is really disturbing for the team to now state their previous radio comments were only driven by […]

Whatever. Only two thoughts come to mind.
Good riddance, I wasn’t looking forward to him increasing his tally of penalty points in 2017.
