Oversteer commented on the post, Hamilton equals Schumacher's pole record with 41 races to spare 5 years, 5 months ago
If I remember correctly the 2013 Merc was a bit of a beast in quli mode but was hampered by shredding it’s tyre’s on Sunday’s. I think the other few blips could be down to Hamilton’s terrible form in 2011.

I agree everyone but Raikkonen, who I think should be in the same tier as Bottas, etc. because he was the better of the Ferrari drivers this weekend and he was very competitive with Hamilton’s lap times for large […]

@davidnotcoulthard Well it definitely was precautionary now…. http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2017/07/16/red-bull-maximised-result-despite-late-stop-verstappen/

I thought that he pitted as a precautionary measure after kimi’s failure.

I think it was more of an aggressive set up rather than Pirelli’s problem (as no one else had failures), still it’s never nice to see positions decided like that.
Oversteer commented on the post, Why Hamilton had to slow the field more at that controversial restart 5 years, 7 months ago
@hugh11 I see what you mean when it comes to trying to test Vettel because when you look at the second restart in isolation it does look like Hamilton is going very slowly. However the official Formula 1 YouTube […]

That data isn’t always 100% accurate to the drives actions in the car. The stewards have access to much more accurate and reliable data, which tells them how hard someone is pressing the brake, when they did it […]

You need to give them a break, clearly Vettel isn’t good enough to beat an ageing Kimi Raikkonen without Ferrari’s help, who would even think such a thing…. the coverage from Sky is getting more ridiculous and […]
Oversteer commented on the post, Cutting aerodynamics is "naive" and won't improve F1 – Brawn 5 years, 7 months ago
I agree with Ross Brawn that the aerodynamics should stay, I think that the high speed cornering ability of a Formula 1 car is a large part of the appeal, but not in its current form. A lot needs to be done in […]

Hamilton’s out-lap on his fresh soft tyres was crucial in turning the tide against Ferrari and he delivered with truly awesome times in the middle sector (30.792s) and final sector (28.367). To put those f […]

I don’t think he lost that much time as he still made the apex, so the gap is probably closer to 0.3 sec. However, with dirty air that’s probably, and unfortunately, enough to neutralise the top speed advantage.

I know what you mean when you say about the best-car lottery however when it comes to Vettel and Hamilton I think it becomes less of a lottery and the fact that they are simply the best (along with other drivers) […]

As a Hamilton fan I can confirm, I’ve always found this sort of thing odd with Hamilton, some weekends he can’t get comfortable with the car in practice and then he just seems to be abysmal in qualifying and the […]

I see what you mean by using that quote because Vettel was good but I think it’s difficult to be exceptional when leading the race (not that he didn’t have the potential to be, just he didn’t do anything […]

I think we should see Bottas’ pace pick up because it must have been car issues as he isn’t that slow
Oversteer commented on the post, Bottas: Team orders "the worst thing to hear" 5 years, 9 months ago
I would not say that Mercedes took Bottas’s points, especially the second time because Hamilton had such a pace advantage that he would have been pass away within a few laps. With the first time that is a matter […]
Oversteer commented on the post, Vote for your 2017 Bahrain Grand Prix Driver of the Weekend 5 years, 9 months ago
I voted for him too, he was a huge 1.2 secs ahead in qualifying and was on a different lap to Palmer in the race, such a shame that people seem to get swept up in the end of Mercedes dominance. Not that Vettel was […]
