Kenny Schachat commented on the post, Changes to track limits guidance in Spain before practice begins 1 week, 1 day ago
I think it’s great that more track limits are being enforced. These are supposed to be the best drives in the world and they should be able to deal with it. We don’t want the old days or walls and trees but making […]
Kenny Schachat commented on the post, Verstappen: Nothing more I can do to ensure I obey track limits 1 week, 1 day ago
Those track limits are all the same for everyone but Max just doesn’t like not being as fast as the Mercs so… they should just not enforce them? Then the Mercs will have the same advantage and he still won’t be […]
Kenny Schachat commented on the post, Miami passes final hurdle to hold 2022 F1 grand prix 4 weeks ago
Everyone wants a race in Miami… except F1 fans and Miami residents! This boondoggle has some kind of shady back room money deal written all over it. Every time it looks like the F1 ownership are finally getting […]

Nice article Keith. I’m looking forward to this IndyCar season.
Do still publish a Google Calendar IndyCar schedule? I have it in calendar but don’t see any races? Is there another place that I should look for it?

I fully understand the financial issues behind the severely limited testing these days but it’s got to be tough on new drivers to come into F1 with almost no testing. Think about it: every title winner since they […]

Thanks for the article.
Note: the location of the race wasn’t mentioned until the second to last sentence…
Has anyone addressed the ramifications (pun intented) of crashes and other car wear and tear during the Sprint races? Not to mention the wear and tear on the crews

For me, my biggest request would be simple keyboard shortcuts like we find in most video player interfaces:
start/stop – spacebar
10 sec rewind/fast forward – left and right arrow keys
F – full screen
Pirro is great choice to start the series. Always interesting, honest and entertaining. Looking forward to more, Dieter!
IndyCar is a very good series on it’s own: no need to compare it endlessly with F1. My only complaint is that the street circuits that they use are much too narrow. Passing without contact with other cars is very […]
I know it’s only symbolic and personal but I’m just not going watch any F1 events in Saud Arabia. There’s just no rationalization that works for me re: holding events there. I don’t know how this will play out but […]
Forget about totals. Stewart is right: how can you compare totals when modern drivers have competed in so many more races. What matters more are percentages. With that in mind:
Fangio and Clark stand out. But […]
At the time, who would have thought that Pastor Maldonado would would be the last driver to win a race for Williams…
It’s not just the loss of the Williams but the loss of an independent team and the loss of […]

I have reservations but I’m staying open minded about it. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this plays out.
Racing Point has stated that they redesigned many aspects of the chassis as a result of what they learned using the Merc inspired brake ducts. They said that it led them to understand how why the low rake design […]
The 2012 Ferrari was a very good car. But for some horrible luck (ex. Grosjean wiping out Alonso), they would most likely won the drivers title.
Using IndyCar as an example isn’t encouraging. There quite a few fans at one of the Indy Car races that were not wearing masks, etc. I tuned in to one the NASCAR races and it was much worse. IMO. Sad but true.
The regs state that the teams must provide their own IP for the “listed parts” (ex. the brake duct). IOW, even if Mercedes were willing to sell or give their IP to RP for the brake ducts, that’s not allowed by the […]
Kenny Schachat commented on the post, F1 shelves reverse-grid qualifying race plan again 11 months, 2 weeks ago
I’m generally a traditionalist and quite skeptical of the sprint race/reverse grid option. OTOH, this would be the ideal time to give it a try. We can speculate all we want but I can see ways that it might work […]
