Looking at getting tickets to Grandstand Q2. But don’t know which zone (1, 2 or 3) is what from the pictures online. I believe zone 1 is closest to the pits and zone 3 is closer to turn 16/17 with zone 2 situated in between. Is this correct?

Also, does anyone know how the rows are numbered going from bottom to top in Grandstand Q2? For example: A, B, C,…AA, BB, CC

I just got the F1 software updated on the unit as well. Thanks to all the people who recommended this. I just wanted to have a good experience at my first formula 1 race.

The G3 doesnt rely on wifi (internet) but rather its over UHF which is a type of radio frequency.

I just bought one off of ebay and will update this thread on how to activate and any other necessary charges.

I will be attending the Canadian Grand Prix coming from the states. I’m sure data rates through cell phone carriers will be ridiculous.

I saw those fanvision G3 things on ebay for much cheaper than the site. Anyone know if its a 1 time activation thing and it works for any event (NFL and F1 events) automatically when you show up at the event?

Thats a pretty neat little device. Something that I will consider for the race. Does anyone own this particular device at http://f1.fanvision.com/ ?

Initially, I was thinking if there was any radio commentary via local AM/FM waves.
