Robbie commented on the post, After 300 grands prix, Hamilton may surprise himself by racing on into his forties 1 week, 5 days ago
Yeah really hard to know, eh? Only he knows but probably even he won’t know until he feels it’s time and that is obviously not yet. So interesting because I think the new F1 is designed to keep the cars and the […]

Agree to both of you.

Max handles pressure extremely well and has the experience from last year that Charles obviously is lacking when it comes to handling pressure when it is at it’s greatest.

Obviously it’s both, plus the team, but there’s this thing about handling pressure when it is at it’s greatest…

Feels to me like Max has the upper hand for tomorrow, but then of course that’s why they run the races and not just hand out the trophies beforehand.
Robbie commented on the post, FIA's floor change is needed to prevent cars bottoming out and crashing – Mercedes 2 weeks, 2 days ago
Nope. Not even on the day when it was the worst for them, after which suddenly it has not been happening to them upon their hand being forced by making them work towards a TD to do what they should have been doing […]
Robbie commented on the post, Hamilton says Mercedes are "further back than we were in the last race" 2 weeks, 2 days ago
I have a feeling the floors need to flex to at least some degree. Similar to rear and front wings. I’ll be surprised if a new test for floor flexing suddenly makes Mercedes able to catch up. The alleged a […]
Robbie commented on the post, Hamilton says Mercedes are "further back than we were in the last race" 2 weeks, 2 days ago
Said LH as they proceed to find a bit more for tomorrow and a bit more again for Sunday (not that I think, nor ever did, that they would be fighting for a win this weekend other than through attrition of others).
Robbie commented on the post, FIA must not "give way" to teams opposing 2023 porpoising rules changes – Seidl 2 weeks, 2 days ago
@sjaakfoo Yeah and I’m surprised Seidl is speaking of teams opposing 2023 reg changes. That’s news to me. My understanding is that some teams who have less issues if any with porpoising are opposing mid-season reg […]
Robbie commented on the post, 'I'm deciding my future': Ricciardo tells RaceFans he 'still loves F1 more than anything' 2 weeks, 3 days ago
If they did progressively shift their focus towards Max there’d be a reason for that. Yet you’re saying their needs were similar. And the thing is Max did start to embarrass DR, leading him in several cat […]
Robbie commented on the post, Sainz to take grid penalty for power unit parts change following Austria fire 2 weeks, 3 days ago
For sure. But one could also argue they brought it upon themselves. What is even harsher, particularly with the budget caps now, is when a driver is taken out by another driver who did a penalty worthy act, and […]

Ross Perhaps you can reference where you can support this claim. I’m not saying I don’t think that it is possible that a team may build a car that leans toward a certain drivers preference, but what do you hav […]

Robbie commented on the post, 'I'm deciding my future': Ricciardo tells RaceFans he 'still loves F1 more than anything' 2 weeks, 3 days ago
S Certainly some shades of grey to what you are saying. Firstly, of course a team is going to back both their drivers. In the case of Max coming in, of course they were going to pump him up. Why wouldn’t they? B […]

I haven’t seen the session but read that Max was on two purple sectors but then went wide at turn 11. Something tells me he has much more at hand, but then of course this is just FP1 so all drivers should have more at hand.
Robbie commented on the post, F1 should consult drivers on which tracks suit sprint races – Bottas 2 weeks, 4 days ago
Fair comment. You’re right that if they had to choose these venues ahead of the season, which is likely, the drivers might not know at the time what type of tracks would favour them. Would have been nice to hear s […]
Robbie commented on the post, F1 should consult drivers on which tracks suit sprint races – Bottas 2 weeks, 5 days ago
S I take your point. I also wonder though if the numbers of those who like the sprint races/weekends is as high in reality as you are implying, but I do think it is higher than 6.7%. But speaking for myself I am […]
Robbie commented on the post, F1 should consult drivers on which tracks suit sprint races – Bottas 2 weeks, 5 days ago
@phil-f1-21 But might the drivers not agree and rather want to select venues that suit their particular car? And I’m not sure if all promoters want to field a sprint race weekend. Should they be forced into one b […]

@nullapax I too am surprised at your surprise. There are many many things drivers are not consulted on that one would think they should be.
