Stormbreak commented on the post, 2019 F1 driver rankings #9: Kimi Raikkonen 3 years, 5 months ago
I feel he has been underrated by some. He was probably the most consistent midfield driver in the first half of the season with a points haul that nearly outscored Kyvat and Hulkenbergs entire season tally. He […]

Stormbreak commented on the post, Point for fastest lap could create "controversial" finales 3 years, 5 months ago
I liked the idea at the first few races but it lost its novelty soon after. Apart from Australia, we barely saw the drivers trying to compete for that fastest lap. It soon became just a bonus point to whoever is […]

Stormbreak commented on the post, 2018 F1 driver rankings #17: Grosjean 4 years, 5 months ago
Completely agree. Verstappen’s start to the season was just as bad as Grosjean’s. Whilst Verstappen’s highs since then were obviously better than Grosjean’s (because of his talent and also because of the car), his […]

Like many others has said, I don’t understand how Verstappen is ranked 6th, let one in the top 10.
Yes, he has won a race but he ruined 2 other shots of victory. He almost certainly should have won China if he […]

I don’t see how Alonso deserves a 4. Regardless of pace, he made a catastrophic error and was only fortunate that he was able to resume his race.

Stormbreak commented on the post, Verstappen smashes youngest F1 winner record 7 years ago
A fairly interesting observation –
The youngest driver on the grid fought the oldest driver in F1 to win this race.
I know a lot of people want to see the old guns retire for new blood, but personally I […]

9/10
Fantastic racing throughout the field. It wasn’t clear who was going to win until the last third of the race. Good recovery drive by Kimi. The only reason I can’t give it a 10/10 is because I think 10s are […]

There were not many stand out performers this weekend but Button did a good job. He qualified very high and retained that position in the race. Not much more you can ask really!
Rosberg did a great recovery […]

I don’t think Hamilton deserves this one. I think some people are applauding his qualifying because it was notable for being so extremely close with Rosberg. But just because everyone made a big deal out of it, it […]

Stormbreak commented on the post, 2014 mid-season F1 driver rankings part two: 12-6 8 years, 9 months ago
I personally don’t feel Bottas deserves to be in the top 5. He has been great since Austria when the car has clearly been on par with Red Bull but before then he was barely outqualifying Massa and he didn’t […]

Stormbreak commented on the post, Mercedes' dominant start is record-breaking 9 years, 1 month ago
Stefano had a disastrous start to his career actually. Both Massa and Raikkonen retired from the first race of 2008 although Kimi scored a point or two because there were so few drivers who finished the race!

Hahaha! The one time I score more than 6 points and 13 others get the same amount of points! Better luck next time :)

Stormbreak commented on the post, Vettel matches Ascari and Schumacher with ninth win 9 years, 6 months ago
Well now I look stupid! Can’t believe I forgot that.
Vettel has the same number of wins in both of his dominant seasons as Schumacher had with his dominant seasons. (2011/2002 had 11 wins and 2013/2004 had 13 wins).

Stormbreak commented on the post, Vettel matches Ascari and Schumacher with ninth win 9 years, 6 months ago
Pretty rubbish stat but Vettel took exactly 13 wins from the ’13 season! No one has ever won the title with the same amount of wins as the last two digits of that year and it’s doubtful it will ever happen again […]

He meant that when Vettel crossed the line, there was still a chance that Alonso could get the position he needed (Everyone in front of him could have had an engine failure at the last corner). He needed to be at […]

Stormbreak commented on the post, Sixth win in a row gives Vettel fourth title at age 26 9 years, 7 months ago
That’s just a pedantic technicality. He is world champion already by all means otherwise whenever someone wins a title, broadcasters, drivers and teams would have to say “Sebastian, you are the guy who is going to […]

Stormbreak commented on the post, Sixth win in a row gives Vettel fourth title at age 26 9 years, 7 months ago
Vettel has been world champion more often than not during his 7 seasons of Formula 1.
Vettel hasn’t been to Abu Dhabi or Brazil with an odd number of WDCs. In 2010 he had no titles, whereas in 2011 he had had […]

Vettel never had that record. It was Alguersuari who broke the record for youngest driver to start a race.

I feel quite sorry for Sutil. He’s had bad luck at every race bar Australia.
He should have so many more points by now and Force India should be well clear of McLaren.

I don’t understand. Did they honestly not expect this issue when opting for an all new line up with one inexperienced driver and one rookie?
I know this is going to sound like an arm-chair expert opinion, but […]
