Wonderbadger commented on the post, Latifi frustrated by stewards' handling of Zhou collision after receiving penalty 7 months, 4 weeks ago
I know F1 tech is supposed to filter down to road cars but how about we go the opposite way for once. Blind spot monitoring is on lots of road cars and just a simple bright orange light on each wing mirror to tell […]

Wonderbadger commented on the post, First pictures: Williams's new car sports revised livery for 2022 1 year, 3 months ago
I was thinking exactly the same, why do all the launches take place in a dark cave. It’s not as if they can’t hide any sensitive areas from view if they’re that worried about it.

Wonderbadger commented on the post, FIA's integrity will remain intact in Abu Dhabi analysis outcome – Ben Sulayem 1 year, 3 months ago
As soon as I read the headline my brain translated it as “whitewash report will be used to sweep any issues under the carpet, if we pretend they’re not there they can’t hurt us… La la la la laaaa”

Leclerc fears he missed “one-off” chance for 2021 win in Monaco…
No doubt about it, as there won’t be another Monaco grand prix in 2021 he definitely missed the chance of a 2021 Monaco win. -

Sad to see the news about Sabine Schmitz this morning.

Wonderbadger commented on the post, F1 exploring live race streaming options with Amazon and other online broadcasters 2 years, 2 months ago
I suspect in markets where existing agreements are in place other platforms won’t be allowed. Same as it is in the UK with F1TV unavailable due to Sky’s blood-sucking deal.

Wonderbadger commented on the post, F1 should consider Yas Marina track changes to remedy "grim" races – Ricciardo 2 years, 5 months ago
From my point of view Yas Marina suffers from the same thing a lot of the modern F1 tracks do in that they are designed for overtaking. That might sound odd but what I mean is that a lot of modem tracks try to […]

Wonderbadger commented on the post, Hamilton can clinch title at next race after out-running Bottas for Imola win 2 years, 7 months ago
I think you’ll find that Alex has been practicing advanced driving techniques used by drivers who won multiple world champions in order to improve his race-craft, unfortunately he’s currently studying Vettel.

Wonderbadger commented on the post, Stroll: Some people will always try to "destroy me" 2 years, 8 months ago
Stroll seems to grey a lot of flack for the fact that daddy bought him an F1 team, in my mind though this isn’t really any different to many other pay drivers who get funding from their family or other big […]

Wonderbadger commented on the post, Ferrari presents special livery it will use for 1,000th race 2 years, 8 months ago
They missed a trick here, just paint it to look like the Williams, that way the fans won’t be surprised to see it running so far down the field.

Wonderbadger commented on the post, Verstappen derides "stupid" suggestion he might lose motivation 2 years, 9 months ago
To me, the language that Red Bull are using around the qualy mode ban shows both them and F1 in a bad light. “As we see it, the blatant superiority in qualifying will no longer be there.” Could be translated as […]

Wonderbadger commented on the post, Why the FIA told teams it will ban 'quali modes' after this weekend's race 2 years, 9 months ago
I think if I was the engine manufacturer I’d just set up a 2 stage throttle so that it has an indent the drivers can feel, that way normal racing would be done at 90% throttle then for overtaking and quali push […]

Wonderbadger commented on the post, Verstappen's tyre had 50 cuts in it – Horner 2 years, 10 months ago
@F1oasaurus it was never a mistake at the time it happened, they did what they needed to do given the information available, i.e. that failures were happening, max had reported vibrations and they had a big enough […]

Luckily I’m fluent in Italian so can translate Binotto’s quote:
“it’s not by sacking people that you make a car go faster”
Translation:
“Please don’t sack me” -
Wonderbadger commented on the post, Virtual Grand Prix series ends with fourth straight win for dominant Russell 2 years, 11 months ago
Have I missed something? I can’t find any coverage of the lemans 24H virtual from this weekend, it was one of the best organised most professional races I’ve watched during lockdown and on the whole drivers raced […]

Wonderbadger commented on the post, Can F1 get close to a full grid of drivers for its Virtual Grands Prix? 3 years, 1 month ago
It’s a shame they’re still trying to sell the F1 2019 game as a sim, as a semi serious arcade game to get people interested in F1 and pretend they’re racing with their favourite drivers it does a good job but […]

Wonderbadger commented on the post, F1 season opener still on as more series cancel races due to Coronavirus 3 years, 3 months ago
I suspect that some countries who have a wider problem with the virus would rather place restrictions on large, high profile events like these than risk the health not only of the attending fans but also the […]

Wonderbadger commented on the post, F1 season opener still on as more series cancel races due to Coronavirus 3 years, 3 months ago
I suspect that would be about as effective as a dog chasing its tail, move to a “safe” country and it only takes one undected carrier to spread it around to a larger number of people before that country isn’t safe […]
