    1. Say what you will about Abu Dhabi and the quality of the racing that it provides, but I think qualifying showed us something that we haven’t really see this year: drivers absolutely attacking the kerbs.

    2. Hamilton pulled it out of the bag…

      When it didn’t matter.

      1. It was mean but I couldn’t help but laugh.

    3. Anyone who says Qualifying isn’t exciting this year didn’t just watch that session. Scorcher.

      1. It hasn’t been. That now makes it 2 good Q3s out of 18 races.

~Not a great record is it?

        Although that was great.

        1. They have been pretty good. Malaysia, Japan and this one especially, if we’re not counting non-Vettel poles.

    4. Great qualifying session. All I need is Alonso to overtake Webber and I’ll have a perfect prediction score at the end of the race!

    5. Question: at the end of Q2, when Schumacher’s car was being pushed back into the garage, I thought I saw intermediate tyres (front right seemed to have the typical “V” grooves. Has anyone got a replay of the BBC feed?

      1. They changed softs to inters just before pushing him into the garage.. pitstop practise I guess..

      2. @Paul A it has become standard procedure, I think. Red Bull Does it as well. I guess drop off Has to start somewhere and they don’t want to spoil any metre too much.

Or Does anybody know another explanation?

    6. i have a question for u guys..what was the last time ”both the williams locking up the back of grid” happened?

      1. According to our dutch commenter, it is à first

    7. @keithcollantine: Kov’s time is missing

    8. Great laps by Perez and the Force India guys! Also compliments to Kovalainen for always looking set to beat someone of the established teams’ drivers (and this time it was a 7-time world champion)!

    9. I wonder if they’ll start DiResta on the prime again.

    10. Lets hope theres no chopping at the start hey

    11. A fair grid I think. Terrible to see Williams where they are, but at least they can’t finish any lower than they qualified.

Such a great last few moments, seeing Button and Hamilton flirting with the timing board and Vettel just comes out, after hanging back, and sorts them both out.
