  1. Fake victory fail :/

    1. Real championship, constructor’s and drivers, win. :)

  2. The situation is now this: Winning all the remaining races alone wouldn’t be enough for Vettel anymore. Hamilton could finish 2nd in each of them and still win the WDC.

  3. I miss Nico Rosberg

    1. If Rosberg was still in the team, Ferrari would have been ahead by now. Mercedes would have split their driver points, and would possibly have taken each other out on the track.. entertaining it would have been, but also very frustrating.

    2. I think you forget how much Hamilton misfortune Nico needed to win that one championship. That year, in addition to the failures of the car, Lewis also struggled with the new clutch procedures. Without that, Nico was nowhere, he knew it, hence the retirement on top.

      1. @medman but Nico always managed to put up a fight with Hamilton, and I’m sure he wouldn’t be so prone to accept the orders, also I believe he would be in a position at this stage of the championship to argue, I’m on the fight too guys, chill out

  4. Ricciardo…LOL! I guess that no longer needs debating.

    1. He’s very good, it’s just that VER is special. I think VER is the best out there now. Give him a Mercedes and nobody has a chance anymore.

    2. Riccirdo’s wing was damaged due to debri on the track.

      1. Thats his usual excuse, just like in France. Max drove with half a wing in spain and didn’t lose any laptime. They mentioned it during the race before the pitstop, but the wing looked just fine.

        1. I suggest you check again.

It was missing 2 of the 6 main horizontal sections on the right hand side of the front wing (top and 3rd from the top). Whereas Verstappen in Spain lost the direction flow winglets on the left side of the wing.

Not being an airflow expert, I would say i would think that the Riccardo damage would of had more of an affect on the car.

          1. He gets himself into those situations. A lot of incidents for Dan lately. Wreckless driving!

    3. Well, when your teammates car is damaged, you better make the margin.

  5. Bottas , Bottas , Bottas ….

He was gifted pole but once again didn’t have the pace to convert.

One could argue his slow opening pace almost cost Mercedes the 2nd place to Vettel, and that its the extra effort of Hamilton regaining that postion which compromised his tires.

Yeah, Mercedes could had their drivers swap the position back, but once again Bottas was too far off the pace to make that happen.

I predicted Bottas, Hamilton, Vettel… but i’m not surprised Hamilton gets the victory and this 50 points lead.

[If the championship is concluded early, im sure Mercedes will go all out to get Bottas his victory.]

    1. Sarcasm emoji missing.

    2. Yeah, that might be true @ajaxn; still would have preferred to have seen Hamilton take the win, but Mercedes clearly felt they couldn’t risk that.

  6. Max in 8 rounds was 5th that is really super!
