  1. Dominance yet again, but some good battles & decent strategic variation behind.
Sainz’s move on Piastri, though, & I was surprised he didn’t retire until nearly halfway through.

    1. I think Ferrari hoped the rain would be heavier and he could move up with a gamble. When the rain turned out not to be too heavy… they called it.

      1. @smallvizier I also thought that & also faded hope for SC, although even in those cases, he probably would’ve ended up outside the points again supposing he’d gained enough positions through pit stops.

  2. Max needs just two more wins to create a new record. Go super max!

    1. Which was Seb’s 9 consecutive wins in 2013 from Spa to Interlagos, wasn’t it?

  3. People who were chanting mercedes era was boring, I wonder where they re now. It is only gonna get much worse in this capped era. I wonder whose idea was to create another ground effect era?wonder If they didn’t watch the 2009-2013 seasons.

  4. Hilarious how bad these eight other teams are. What a stunning waste of money.

    1. We expected more this season from Ferrari and Mercedes, but I think the others have knocked it out of the park.

The very last team in the Constructors’ Championship is Alpha-Tauri – which gave us Tsunoda’s gutsy drive today and Ricciardo last week.

Williams has struggled, but Albon flew like a rocket today: their setup choice was inspired and gave us tonnes of entertainment. Magnussen and Hülkenberg have been swashbuckling for Haas all year.

Teams numbers 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 have all done a cracking job this year. You can judge teams 7, 8, 9 and 10 from the fact that there was no safety car, no virtual safety car, and no flag this race – but no-one got lapped. When’s the last time that happened?

The field is closer than ever… except that Ferrari and Mercedes are AWOL when we expected them to be challenging Red Bull.
