Thank you so much gbos. I knew there was something out there somewhere. Just didn’t know where to look. Poverty stricken silver surfer.

No worries – that site provided good quality streams for Australia and Malaysia when less people are committed to wake up and watch the early starts so may not work as well with a 1pm start and there is more competition to stream it. Both visual and audio quality have been good so hoping that will keep up! Vipbox.tv and streamhunter.tv are alternative sites if you struggle to find anything…

Cheers. I know about a couple, but back-ups are good. I just wish I didn’t have to watch on my laptop.

You can get a cable to connect your laptop to your tv – relatively easy to do and a far cheaper alternative to getting a sky box… Its what most people at uni do these days

@goofy Are you sure that the n-tv channel shows FP2 live? They used to do that a few years ago but I cannot find anything in their website now: http://www.n-tv.de/mediathek/tvprogramm/?d=2012-04-20

@girts There was a press release yesterday which said they will show all FP2s for the rest of the season live with Nick Heidfeld as co-commentator

Shame I have plans on Sunday now and won’t be able to watch the race live. Might miss qualy as well actually. Wasn’t planning to boycott but it turns out I inadvertently have! haha.

so, BBC, which is it classed as? a Fly-Away race or a European Race. If I remember correctly, for non live races, Fly Aways were to get 2 hour show, and eurpoean to get 1 1/2hr show. Sunday’s show is only 1hr 20 mins according to tv guide. Or maybe they took a gamble and didnt expect there to be a race so had to crowbar a show into an already decided schedule?
f1alex (@f1alex)
19th April 2012, 19:58
Well it is a flyaway, but it’s in a similar timezone to the European races so it gets the European treatment instead of the early morning races treatment.
matt90 (@matt90)
20th April 2012, 11:48
So they lied? Maybe unintentionally, but they defined it wrong.

Yep. Living in SA we get a 30-60 min delay (Worse for Western Australians / Daniel Ricciardos family?)
:( Looks like it will be for the rest of the year too…

Here’s hoping there is a backlash and they put the race back onto ONE. Does anyone know if they will still stream the race on their website?
sozavele (@formula-1)
20th April 2012, 15:30
That won’t happen even if there is a backlash, I presume you can all still watch it for free, whereas us in the UK can only watch 10 live and the others highlights.
