Just got back from a day at Croft. Great day out, great crowd, regardless of some relentless rain before (and during) race 3. Was great to see such intense racing in such appalling conditions.
Turkington (aka King of Croft) was so close to the perfect weekend (pole, 1st, 1st, 2nd), Matt Neal winning the 3rd race.
Poor weekend for Plato. Dropped from 2nd on grid to 5th in race one, ended up 2nd last (a lap down) in race 2 after he took a gamble on inters in light rain. (Had a cracking start from 5th to 1st in 3 corners and got a 10s or so lead, then the rain stopped and his inters were useless). Made a good recovery to 6th in race three.
Some good racing in the support categories too. If you’ve not heard of a guy called Dan Cammish, he’s now won all 15 of 15 Formula Ford races this season and is definitely one to watch for the future.
