Great jump starts

    After Valtteri Bottas’s near-jump-start last weekend I wondered if we could drum up a few examples of particularly impressive real jump starts.

    The best I could come up with was this fine example by Max Chilton when he started the 2009 British F3 championship from pole position at Oulton Park:

    Both of those are great to watch – really thorough knowledge of the rules with the five second penalty! Why not!?

    The one that sticks in my mind is Pastor Maldonado’s effort at Spa 2012, which was immediately overshadowed by his future Lotus team-mate wiping out half the front of the grid!
