So the news of there being 8 constructors in the 2015-16 season has been revealed, and what their development strategies for the batteries and the cars are. What does everybody think of all this?

Personally I think it is really great that they are going to go about it like this, and from the way they are doing it they certainly do seem to know what they are doing (take note Bernie).

Is that 8 more or a total of 8? Video title says 8 constructors, where as the first question in the video asks about new teams.

I do like how they are structuring the development though, very good idea.

@philereid It isn’t very clear. My interpretation personally (not saying this is right) is that constructors are the ones who build the car, or the engine or batteries, etc., and teams who don’t construct can buy parts.

@strontium I’ll be honest, now you’ve explained it as such that makes sense to me as well. Hopefully means there’s a number of cars still then!
