Hello,
I went to the 2012 Abu Dhabi GP and we ended up staying in Central Abu Dhabi (Tourist Club Area).
It better to stay at Yas Island as it is 30mins away in taxi and most the night life is in the Yas area.
We ended up getting taxis suited up in the morning, stay at the qualifying/race in the day then go straight to the concert and clubs straight after as too long to go back and forth.
Taxis are cheap there and i didnt have too many problems getting them but then again it was at 4am after the clubs had finished. But if you do need it after the concert just get a free bus a couple of stops away and flag one down, much quicker.31st July 2012, 16:04 at 4:04 pm #190867Anup PalaParticipantOh thanks Kate,
Yea everything on Yas Island is fully booked.
Looking at city centre apartments/ Hotels. At the moment ‘Hala Arjaan’ or ‘Royal International’ seem to be the winners. both seem central. Think i might just have to flick a coin, lol.31st July 2012, 15:34 at 3:34 pm #190865Anup PalaParticipantHi Caroline,

I have bought my tickets on Yasmarina’s web site over a month ago, but i still have not seen my tickets.
Do i take it they are like concerts and only give you the tickets close to race day?
Thanks,

Yes i have just booked up my tickets online Directly with Yas Marina too. Got a much better deal even with the charges (saved £80). Just now looking to book hotel but not sure if its worth the risk to book last minute.com or just get it now and be safe.
Have you got any recomendation on hotels?
Thanks
