An update of the Belgium channels:

    1. What country are you in (and state, if applicable)

    Belgium

    2. Which channels broadcast F1 near you?

La Une or La Deux (RTBF = French), RTL (German channel), Pay TV: Telenet (I don’t know about Proximus).

    3. Do they show all the races live or only a limited number (if so, how many?)

They should be broadcasting all the races. RTBF may switch between their two channels La Une or La Deux

    4. Do they also show qualifying live?

For RTBF: normally they do, unless with major events (Euro 2016 matches). For Pay TV Telenet: yes. For RTL (Germany) I have no clue.

    5. Do they also show practice sessions live?

I know for sure about Telenet (Pay TV), don’t know if the others do.

    6. If they are a subscription channel, what does a full year’s subscription cost (excluding limited time offers)?

For Telenet (depending on your package):

329.40 euros a year (27.45 euros/month) If you only have Digital TV with Telenet
263.40 euros a year (21.95 euros/month) if you have Digital TV + Internet (Not ‘FreeSurf’) OR a fixed telephone line with Telenet
197.40 euros a year (16.45 euros/month) if you have Digital TV + Internet (Not ‘FreeSurf’) + a fixed telephone line

You cannot cancel without getting extra charged during the first 6 months of your subscription. After these 6 months you can cancel at any time without paying extra charges.

You can also buy a ‘Play Sports’ (that’s how the Pay TV channel from Telenet is called) daypass. This costs 9.95 euros and lasts 24 hours only.

Keep in mind that on top of this you have to pay your subscription for cable TV, Digital TV anyway at a minimum and your ‘Authors rights’

For me this means in addition:

Cable TV: 12.25 euros per month = 147 euros per year
Authors rights: 4.05 euros per month = 48.60 euros per year

    7. Do they broadcast coverage online? If so please post link/s

You can watch online (Telenet) via the Yelo app (on Android and Ipad) or on Yelo TV (yelotv.be) This does not work on Google Chrome due to Silverlight plugin not supported by Google Chrome.

    8. Please supply any other relevant information such as alternative viewing options.

RTBF (Regular channels La Une, La Une HD, La Deux and La Deux HD)
    RTL (Germany – regular channel)

@keithcollantine: Regarding the viewing costs for Belgium: cable subscription and author rights are paid to watch regular cable tv (La Deux/RTL/BBC). It can cost more if you have decoder for digital tv, but regular cable tv is (at my provider, which is Telenet) 15.35 euros. The sports package costs extra and requires you to have digital TV and the costs can really add up.

    My answers on the question:

    1. Belgium
    2. La Deux, RTL, BBC. Telenet also has a sports package called “Sporting Telenet”. They provide live coverage of qualifying session and races. They have a total of 6 channels, if I am correct (pit view, cockpit view, map view, …)
    3. Paid package “Sporting Telenet”: yes. Other channels; not sure, I think La Deux does, but BBC of course does not. Not sure about RTL.
    4. paid package “Sporting Telenet” does, no idea about the others
    5. Don’t think so
    6. € 330
    7. Yes – http://www.yelotv.be
    8. None
