Looks like my brother has sorted a bar for the race, so looking at tickets for qualification. Currently torn between L for the view of the pits and K for the view of the track/harbour… can someone please help me pick :) Will there be much to see from K during qualifying, would I see more “action” with a view of the pits? Both are the same price.

    Hi Caroline,

Thanks, I may just do that, I used the same company when I went to Singapore in 2011 and they were very good. I saw some good options for Saturday/Sunday tickets here http://www.monaco-grand-prix.com/en/2542-monaco/ yesterday but looks like they’re selling out quickly… would snap some up now but need to run it by my brother first!

    Hi Ed,

Thanks again for the advice, I don’t get to Antibes until the Friday evening, but I could send my brother down to Monaco to do some recon prior to Thursday :) Regarding the packages you offer would you mind messaging me some details directly? As much as I’m not keen to spend a “fortune” on grandstand tickets, I would be willing to spend money where I’ll get more value. I would love to go again next year, but potentially doing Le Mans again or one of the other F1 races next year as a lads holiday… think Monaco may be a little over budget for most :(

Still keeping my fingers crossed that my brother’s networking skills will land us a yacht… he should be speaking to one such owner about now :)

Thanks Ed, unfortunately a little too late, looks like they’ve all gone. Still some left in T and O just trying to figure out where to get £400 from :)

PS: Found this site which seems to have weekend tickets available from £411 http://www.profile-f1-tickets.co.uk/, anybody used them before?

Thanks Ed, it seems I can still get K tickets for qualifying at around £160, then we could watch the race elsewhere. The option of watching the race in a bar/restaurant sounds appealing, how would we go about this and do you have any recommendations? Would it require booking somewhere in advance or could we find something on the day? Very much looking forward to going, just wish I’d had a little more time to plan for it :)

    Hi all

First off would just like to thank everyone for taking the time to provide such great tips and info, this thread will come in very useful indeed.

My brother has just moved to Antibes (down the coast from Monaco) so I now have the opportunity to go to Monaco this year, though at very late notice… booked flights yesterday… at a ridiculous price!! As such I don’t have much in the way of budget for event tickets and the only options left for the race on Sunday are over £400 a pop (I think the same for qualifying). Are grandstand tickets essential to enjoy the Monaco F1 experience or would we be ok wandering the town and watching the qualifying/race in a bar near by? I fly down on Friday afternoon so don’t have the option of getting cheaper tickets on the Thursday unfortunately :(

There are still a few tickets left for Rocher but I don’t think either of us fancy sitting in one place all day, especially a rocky hillside. I believe there are still tickets available for O grandstand (at just under £400), would these be any good if we did opt to load up the credit card?

I have never been to Monaco before so any other tips or advice people can pass on would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

PS: I remain hopeful that my brother will get pally with one of the many yacht owners, I have everything crossed :)
