I have just watched the on board footage of the new mercedes car. I was wondering what everyone else thinks about having that drivers point of view in a race situation? I would love to see it
It would make sense to help understand the split second decsions that are made in wheel to wheel situations

That was a wonderful video of a drivers point of view of driving an f1 car i.e alot more physical than it appears on tv. It would be a brilliant view of drivers going wheel to wheel in a race

To cut a long story short my son was born on 12th febuary 2016 and i wanted to get him some sort of formula one clothing to wear when we are watching the austrilian grand prix coverage next month (either live if he is up in the night feeding etc or on repeat). But i cant find any where that sells it in…[Read more]

Montoya in 2006 leaving mclaren mid season, possibly after falling out with Ron dennis over the previous 18 months. Have often wondered could he have won the 2007 championpship as he was clearly talented enough to win races. Be in championship hunt but had enough experience in simmilar situations, to Hamilton in the 2007 China race about when to…[Read more]

Just read on bbc website which says Jenson Button & his wife have officaly split up. This is really sad news, but it does make me wonder how hard it is for the drivers & team personal to keep personal relationships and a family life with all the traveling they do.

Would someone correct me if i am wrong but is the 2015 Mclaren Honda the most unreliable car in F1 history? I.e out of 16 starts for Alonso 8 retirments (7 if you dont include the Austrian race accident).

From a personal point of view i would say Cmthe Spanish grand prix at Catalyua, as it is a curcuit that is used extensively for testing so all the teams have the car set up more or less perfected before a wheel is turned so the qualfying usualy decides race results. Also with the Spanish weather there is little chance of a supprise result due to weather

With Hamilton wining his 40th career win at the 2015 Italian grand prix at monza i noticed there was a strange comparsion with Schumacher in 2000. Both drivers have lost wins in Spa, Schumacher won his 41st race at monza.
Hamilton would have won his 41st at monza if Merecdes/ Hamilton hadnt got the strategy so wrong in Monaco

How about in 2005 when it became clear early in the season that michelen rather than bridgestone had the better tyre to last a race distance
Or in 2007 during the hungarian grand prix qualfying when Alonso disobayed team orders by refusing to drive his car as he was trying to disadvantage Hamilton

LIke so many ideas in the F1 world, it is an idea that works well in theory but isnt practical in the real world. You would attract new fans to the sport who enjoy racing, but you would risk losing fans as well […]
