McLaren ended the first day of practice in Australia in a positive mood, talking up their chances after a strong showing in both sessions. But Ferrari and Red Bull still look like the teams to beat ahead of qualifying tomorrow.
Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button headed the times after today’s second practice session in Melbourne. The pair set their times in between the two rain showers which fell at the track early in the session.
While Robert Kubica topped the times in free practice one Ferrari once again look to have good long-run pace. And at this early stage it looks as though McLaren might have found a better set-up for Melbourne than they had at Bahrain. Take a closer look at the lap times from free practice one below.
