      @sankalp88 It won’t happen though. Alonso and Grosjean have a better chance. I may be wrong.

      To be honest, Lewis and Grosjean will be the one to watch in the race. Grosjean and Raikkonen’s long runs were very strong during the race simulations. Lewis can attack Vettel at the start as Vettel overtook the polesitter in the last 2 years to win this Grand Prix twice.

      Vettel will cruise as usual. Lewis maybe a bit struggling like Spa. Alonso will have excellent start, Grosjean will be strong in long runs, and Kimi will be charging with different strategy to the frontrunners. It will be a huge race if only you take Vettel of equation.

         Lewis won’t really struggle, especially if the temperatures are cooler tomorrow, which is most likely to happen because that was what the commentators were discussing earlier in Practice 3. The Mercedes’ long run pace wasn’t either that far to the Red Bulls, but Grosjean will be the one to watch tomorrow. Also, rain is expected till race time in Yeongam tomorrow. If Grosjean can have a good start, he can challenge Vettel for the win.

            I agree. Mercs’ long run pace was pretty good on Friday so I’m certainly hoping that Hamilton can keep Vettel honest tomorrow. Grojean may just be a dark horse!

      Once again lacklustre performance from Raikkonen on Saturday. I reckon RoGro is very good qualifier but 1.3 sec difference is too much. he seemed unhappy with settings (he did an extra run compared to Grosjean each session), maybe related to crash on Friday? Or Lotus merely change their golden boy since Kimi would be leaving? But surely Kimi is usually far better on Sunday…

      I think Grosjean might be a greater threat in the race than Hamilton: the Lotus’ pace looked very good on Friday, better than the Red Bull’s even (although of course we don’t know fuel loads).

      @tifoso1989 he just generally had a messy lap – locked up into 9, snap oversteer in 12 and oversteer in 14.

         Same here Max Jacobson. Grosjean and Kimi’s long run were fantastic during the simulations. But, rain is expected till race day tomorrow, and even more, cooler temperatures are expected tomorrow.

         Meaning he wasn’t happy with his car still at qualifying, so some problems there. We all know the pace difference isn’t 1.3sec between them.

   Alonso seems to have botched quali again. What happened on his flying lap? I wasn’t near a TV today so was following through the F1 app. @vettel1 ?

      I don’t think he made any significant errors @shreyasf1fan – there was maybe a couple of tenths on the table but 6th was about the maximum he could get really!

      Only Lewis hamilton able to Improve on final runs. Alonso was slower than his Q2 lap and so are Kimi, Massa Hulkenberg and Gutiarrez. So Probably it was due to Track temps but 6th was best for FA as Rosberg was around 4 tenths ahead of him.

         To be honest i don’t use it because i’m satisfied with the Sky italy coverage, apart from the principal channel there is the channel Onboard Mix (onboard from many cars) and the Onboard leader channel (onboard from the leader car) a channel for live timing and race tracker and another one race control center which for the race,onboard,race tracker and live timing all together
         I’m sure that some folks here in the forum will give you a better feedback than me

         @krichelle – I think the app isn’t too bad – the app shows in addition to the time sheet, tire compounds, track positions, sector times, speed traps, announcements from race control, etc. It also has an integration to twitter so you have an in-app feed of F1 related tweets.
         Downside is that it’s pricey and doesn’t offer a weekend pass (only pay for the weekends you use it), so you basically buy it for the whole season – with a notebook next to you, you get pretty much the same info for free. Not as neat and tidy though.

   I wonder what’s happened to Raikkonen? He never looked like challenging Grosjean in this session, and hasn’t been too impressive in qualifying since the summer break (back problems notwithstanding). I hope for better from him in the race tomorrow.

   It’ll come down to the first lap tomorrow to determine whether Vettel will be troubled at all for vitcory. Not holding out too much hope, but maybe the Ferraris can add some excitement with their great starts.

   @vettel1 @tifoso1989 He looked good in Q2 and did a provisionally purple S1 (which was expected from the Ferrari) and then ended up 8-tenths off. So I premused a lock-up or his rear-end going naughty somewhere. Or maybe I was being over-optimistic as @tifoso1989 said! ;)

      @shreyasf1fan I just assume it was the general lack of pace the Ferrari had in S2. I’m not of course saying he flattered it, but 6th was about where he should’ve been ;)

      It is true that his Q3 lap was slower than his Q2 lap , i don’t know why but many drivers apart from Lewis Hamilton were not able to improve on their final run in Q3 including Vettel, Roseberg,Massa, Raikkonen maybe it has something to do with the track condiditions

      Much like how Webber won’t have the option because he qualified in 3rd.

         @bosley Did webber manage to save a set of supersofts or did he use both of them ? I was hoping for a better performance from Nico . I think I underestimated Grosjean a bit too much . Hope he has a clean getaway tomorrow. I can’t wait for the start !

            @hamilfan he used two sets in Q3, but aborted his second attempt at the end of S2. So they have been used, but not as much as some of the others (although Vettel did the same – abort his lap because he’d cemented pole).
