Exciting qualifying, especially the end, but tomorrow’s story will probably be different anyway.

Great stuff from Sainz. This weekend he beat an obviously disappointed Leclerc. Now on to the race ..
Very close top three, exiting.
Stewarding need a slap..why limits when they are not policed.

Mercedes should have done a lot better but at least they secured Q3

What?
Mercedes does well when they are at a track that suits their car. Same with Ferrari, McLaren, Aston-Martin, and pretty much every other team. The battle for 2nd place on down is based on track more than other factors this season.

Hard to say, they were never in the hunt for pole so P4/5 was ultimately the best they could do today. Stronger from Russell and a bit poor from Hamilton, but he’s been coming alive in the races much more lately so I’ll wait til tomorrow to judge if he’s off the pace or set up for a stronger race car.
McLaren are more disappointing for me. Thought they’d be the challenger to RedBull this weekend.
