Williams have joined Red Bull and Haas in adding a prominent American design to their cars for the second of three F1 rounds to take place in the USA this year. They also have some new graphics on their rear wing in the form of seven images of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), five chosen by fans and one each by drivers Alexander Albon nd Logan Sargeant.

Several drivers have embraced the local look. Alpine drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon sported American football shirts after Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes became an investor in the team. Alfa Romeo drivers Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu chose Texan attire for their first day in the paddock.

At McLaren, Lando Norris showed off the special helmet he will wear this weekend for what is due to be his 100th start in a grand prix.

  1. I can’t say I’m a fan of either Norris’ usual helmet design or his special ones, but I really like what he’s done for his 100th race.

  2. Great helmet design, but I wonder what those animated characters on Williams rear wing are as I struggle to recognize any.

    1. NFT crap. I’m surprised they are still pushing for those given how badly that scheme crashed.

  3. Williams, how embarrassing

  4. I usually prefer simple helmet designs but I have to say, I dig the banana sticker look of Lando’s

  5. I wonder if Williams put the British Flag on their livery for their home race, or Red Bull put the Austrian flag at the Red Bull ring? I get that USA is a big market for these teams, but they should pay more homage to their roots than target markets.

Haas… I can’t say any American will be glad to be associated with them.

    1. Williams raced with a very prominent flag during the British GP. Also don’t forget they are now 100% owned by an American private equity firm.

  6. It’s gonna be hard telling all these star spangled cars apart.
