Overall BBC coverage rating: 8.5/10
17th April 2011, 10:10 at 10:10 am #165835robbiepblakeParticipantMost Surprising Result: Trulli’s fastest lap was faster than Alonso’s.
Sorry but that’s WAY MORE surprising than Webber’s podium finish.
17th April 2011, 10:41 at 10:41 am #165836TodfodParticipantDamn! Driftin, if that is true.. Alonso should be smacked across the face.

17th April 2011, 11:33 at 11:33 am #165839AnonymousInactiveBest Driver: Obviously between Webber and Hamilton, but I think Webber just edges it out for me.
Worst Driver: Maldonado? No one really stood out as being the worst for me.
Best Team: McLaren. For one minute I thought Hamilton was going to have to start from the pits, but their impressive efforts to get the car starting led to him starting in grid position and ultimately led to the race.
Worst Team: Williams. They just seem to be going perpetually backwards.
Best Overtake: Loads of overtakes were good, but Hamilton on Button was good but the most important; it was crucial to Hamilton’s win.
Best Funny-moment: Jenson into the Red Bull pits! I laughed so hard!
Most Surprising Result: Webber’s podium.
Least Surprising Result: Vettel still being up there (even if he didn’t win).
Special Mention to: Trulli for his fast lap.
Race Rating: 10/10
Best BBC commentator/presenter: Brundle – reliable as ever in commentating.
Worst BBC commentator/presenter: DC and Jake for the grid walk. It wasn’t terrible but there was a marked difference to Brundle’s. Then again, maybe I’m being a bit harsh as Brundle has perfected the art of the grid walk!
Best Commentary moment: DC with his comment on the Beware Webber radio message – that it could only be more terrible if it were delivered in the dark/
Overall BBC coverage rating: 7/10 – No Brundle gridwalk or EJ meant it suffered, and I was going to give it a much lower score, but then the voices of Blundell, Allen and Legard enter my mind and I decide to give it a higher score instead.
17th April 2011, 11:40 at 11:40 am #165840AnonymousInactiveBest Driver: Mark Webber
Worst Driver: Perez
Best Team: McLaren
Worst Team: Williams
Best Overtake: I’m not sure… Probably one of the surprising number of overtakes in turn 4/5/6/7
Best Funny-moment: Button pitting in RBR garage and being waved on
Most Surprising Result: Webber on the podium
Least Surprising Result: Williams down the ranks
Special Mention to: Lewis Hamilton for an amazing race, Nico Rosberg for same, Massa for outperforming Alonso again, Force Indias and Kobayashi battling throughout the race
Race Rating: 9/10
Best BBC commentator/presenter: David Coulthard
Worst BBC commentator/presenter: Jake Humphrey (but only worst of really good effort today)
Best Commentary moment: “The only way that message could have been more scary, was if it had been delivered in the dark”
Overall BBC coverage rating: 8/10 Kinda dragged down by camera-work, although of course that’s not under their control.
<edit>
Worst Driver: Liuzzi (managed to finish behind Chandhok)
Heh. Behind Chandhok? Team Lotus’ 3d driver Chandhok? The guy who didn’t actually drive a car in the race? I’m going to go ahead and assume you were making a funny ;)
<edit2>
Damn, forgot about Trulli’s fastest lap being faster than Alonso’s. Agree with driftin, that probably is even more surprising than Webber making up a lot of places from 18th.
