Participant2013 could be set to be McLarens worst ever season. Their car has been consigned to the midfield for the first half of the season. What is shocking is that this is probably the 2nd best team in F1 history (after Ferrari). But has their been any worse examples.
The 2009 Ferrari was pretty bad.

ParticipantThe 2009 Ferrari wasn’t that bad, Raikkonen managed to win the Belgian GP with it. Ferrari just started off poorly in 2009 but improved.
I’d say the 1980 Ferrari was rather poor. As reigning world champion Jody Scheckter managed to collect a mere 2 championship points. His teammate Villeneuve was able to grab 6 points. Ultimately reigning champion Ferrari only finished 10th in the constructors championship.
@andae23: you mean the 2003 McLaren they never raced with? The 18 I believe?

They were helped by the fact that is was such an open season, otherwise…13th August 2013, 17:15 at 5:15 pm #240214Euro Brun
ParticipantBrabham 1968?
Double championship (66 and 67) then slump to 8th (only 10pts) in constructors, despite the best efforts of Brabham and Rindt.13th August 2013, 17:21 at 5:21 pm #240215wsrgo
Participant@eurobrun Are you, by any chance, an Australian guy with a profile on f1rejects? Just asking..

Participant@wsrgo Afraid not. British and without a profile on f1rejects, however I do go on there quite a lot. I have quite an obsession with the really crap teams and drivers that have ‘entertained’ us over the years. Especially late 80s early 90s when pretty much anyone could have a go, lol. Hence why I chose Euro Brun. Anyone that can go an entire season without qualifying for a single race (1989, 15 times did not even pre-qualify) and still persist the next year is applauded for their optimism / stupidity.
