Which driver pairings would you want to see as team mates?

Hamilton & Kobayashi – both going at it full pelt going for moves which are at best 30% likely to work
Button & Alonso – I’d just like to see this happen, may work really well
Raikkonen & Piquet – in a Toyota, in America, going round ovals….get where i’m going with this?4th February 2012, 19:36 at 7:36 pm #191166MikeParticipant
in a Toyota, in America :D
For me… err… Hamilton-Rosberg
I’d like to see where Rosberg really stacks up.4th February 2012, 22:23 at 10:23 pm #191167KingsharkParticipant
If we were to go back in history (and still make pairings of drivers who drove in the same era);
Ayrton Senna – Nigel Mansell
Alain Prost – Nelson Piquet Sr.
Gilles Villeneuve – Keke Rosberg
Jim Clark – Jack Brabham
Juan Manual Fangio – Alberto Ascari
Mika Hakkinen – Damon Hill6th February 2012, 7:19 at 7:19 am #191168raymondu999Participant
Actually, I just had a thought – there’s no reason to really limit this to just current/former F1 drivers, is there? I would absolutely LOVE to see Sebastian Vettel as teammate to Mattias Ekström in F1.14th March 2012, 6:54 at 6:54 am #191169Adam TateParticipant
@Kingshark bloody brilliant pairings!!! I love it.
Clark – Gurney would be good too, or even Clark – Stewart
For the current field
Schumacher – Massa (a smart pairing, one in which they build one another up)
Kimi – Vettel (friendly and exciting as hell, especially in Q3)
Button – Rosberg (Another smart pairing)13th September 2013, 16:51 at 4:51 pm #191170krtekf1Participant
What about Schumacher – Hakkinen? Imagine both of them in ferrari f2002 :D13th September 2013, 17:15 at 5:15 pm #191171BorisParticipant
What a great topic to revive! For me there are three stand-above-the-rest drivers. I’ve seen Alonso v Hamilton. Now I’d LOVE to see Hamilton v Vettel and Vettel v Alonso.THAT would be sweet!!13th September 2013, 17:35 at 5:35 pm #191172Magnificent GeoffreyParticipant
Kamui Kobayashi and anyone.13th September 2013, 18:49 at 6:49 pm #191173MathersParticipant
I would like to see Jules Bianchi and Nico Hulkenberg together at Lotus, while this doesn’t have the glamour of a Vettel-Alonso or Hamilton-Vettel, they are probably the two on the grid not at larger teams that could go on to the greatest things, so would be very exciting to watch.13th September 2013, 19:12 at 7:12 pm #191174AnonymousInactive
Bianchi-Hulkenberg as well, @mathers, but at Ferrari. Who knows, perhaps in three years’ time!
de la Rosa – Heidfeld13th September 2013, 19:52 at 7:52 pm #191175andae23Participant
Don’t laugh: Fangio – De la Rosa. They are very much alike, so I think that De la Rosa’s ability to develop a car well could really have benefited Fangio.13th September 2013, 20:39 at 8:39 pm #191176MurrayParticipant
Maldonado-Grosjean. Could you imagine the amount of crashes and penlites!
For me ATM I love the pairing of Hamilton-Rosberg
Otherwise Bianchi-Kobyashi would be a good one for me.13th September 2013, 20:56 at 8:56 pm #191177BorisParticipant
Agree with all that @Murray ! Hamilton and Rosberg, BRILL pairing. Maldonado and Gros LOL! Kobi, LOVE HIM!and Bianchi has such promise! @Mathers, Jules and Bianchi would be good too, a great test for Jules!13th September 2013, 21:03 at 9:03 pm #191178Juan Pablo HeidfeldParticipant

Hamilton – Vettel
Alonso – Kubica (before accident)
