Personally I just hope the field become much closer, unpredictable races, perhaps like 2012. 4 years consecutively I’ve been really tired of a single man/team dominance, 2014 was a decent one though.

My second hope would be McLaren fighting for podiums, perhaps for wins or even championship? Anything can happen in a huge regulation shake up, even if can put them at the back of the grid.

One of the toughest season to rate the drivers, anyway I’ll start from the Bottom.

N/A Stoffel Vandoorne He was very impressive in Bahrain, but thats only one race.

    23. Haryanto – I don’t even think he deserve a seat for F1, he gave no fight to Wehrlein

    22. Kvyat – Had an okay to the first 3 races of the season, until Russia and after that we can see why Red Bull kicked him

    21. Ericsson – He had a bad car yes, but still he didn’t show anything impressive

    20. Nasr – Similar to Ericsson, but that 9th place in Brazil at least saved Sauber

    19. Palmer – He had some impressive races, surprisingly showing the way for Magnussen in the 2nd half, but too inconsistent and error prone

    18. Massa – Sad to see him go, but his performance say that he made the right decision to retire

    17. Magnussen – Amazing drive in Russia, other than that nothing special and was caught by Palmer at the end of season

    16. Ocon – He had a great “half’ season and sometimes quicker than Wehrlein, but still to early to judge

    15. Gutierrez – While he score 0 points, he had showed couple of times that he have the speed to beat Grosjean and deserve another shot in F1

    14. Button – Coped well considering the car reliability, but no way near Alonso and faded in the 2nd half of the season

    13. Wehrlein – Very impressive. Brought the Manor where it doesn’t belong including in Austria

    12. Grosjean – Had some extremely impressive weekends, but couldn’t retain his fine form in the opening races

    11. Raikkonen – Outqualified Vettel, but in the race he still not up to it, nevertheless he improved in the 2nd half of the season.

    10. Bottas – Outperforms Massa more comprehensively than the last 2 season, but as the car drops he also dropped in form.

    9. Vettel – He still have the pace, but outqualified by Raikkonen is not really a good thing and he’s been crash prone this season

    8. Hulkenberg – Points wise he’s way behind Perez because retirements shadowed his performance, however in fact he’s so close to Perez

    7. Perez – Slightly better than Hulkenberg and deliver two podiums, was more consistent than ever although he could’ve done a little bit better.

    6. Sainz – Shown the way for Kvyat most of the season, had some great battles and impressive performance, not as good as Verstappen but still a fine wonderkid

    5. Hamilton – He’s been off the form too much this season so he lost the title to Rosberg, and his starts have been problematic, still though I expect him to be back on top form next season

4.Rosberg – Maybe on track he’s slightly off Hamilton’s pace. But he always capitalise every chance he got and have been growing a lot in mentality this season, a deserved world championship title. Still need to improve wheel to wheel skill though.

    3. Verstappen – He add a completely different color to F1, with his epic defending skills that FIA have to ban. Have been trailing Ricciardo consistently and have a lot of fine performance this season, although he’s still a bit immature sometime. Definitely will be a world champion

    2. Ricciardo – Near excellent season. Has almost no weakness other than outperformed by Verstappen couple of times. Have shown incredible performances throughout the season, Handle things off the track brilliantly as well, I tipped him for the WDC if Red Bull get within 2 tenths of Mercedes next season

    1. Alonso – He seem recaptured his 2012 form, incredible racecraft and once again outperformed his car sometimes. Destroyed Button in the 2nd half of the season and there’s not much he can do to make the season better other than hiccups in Australia and Brazil. Really hope McLaren can find it lost mojo next season and see Alonso shines again.

    1. Vettel : No doubt he defied the doubters, did the almost exact thing as Alonso did in 2012, and even better due to lower number of races and a single team domination season.
    2. Verstappen : Very quick for his age, and still quick compare to Sainz, He had a big potential and ambition, error prone but this is expected for 17 years old rookie .
    3. Hamilton : on the track he even better than last year, but he's not impressing me off the track and last couple of races.
    4. Ricciardo : he's not the best anymore, but he still carry on his last season form on some races, retains his "opportunist" style and still have great pace.
    5. Rosberg : early phase of season he was a total mess. However since Singapore he played very smartly (bar Austin) and give himself a huge boost for next season.
    6. Perez : He's not that consistent compare to Hulkenberg. But he tried his best and nets another podium finish for Force India.
    7. Hulkenberg : His consistency is sublime, but he need to be great at all races, not just good.
8 Grosjean : He can carry well in a bad machinery and outclass Maldonado greatly who is a quick driver.
    9. Sainz : Got overshadowed by Verstappen, he didn't got much chance with the reliability issues even though he had a very good season.
    10. Bottas : Slightly better than Massa, his form is drop compare to last year but so is Massa.

People love Kimi actually because his “coolness” Hamilton on other side, exposed alot himself which made people don’t like also honestly Hamilton fans are diffrent like no other, which made them unable to see his weakness and always criticizes his rivals. I don’t want to attack anyone but this is my opinion.

Looks nice though, simple and clean, but I wish they keep the “skewed side”

I think there’s a lot of prophetic quotes back in the past, but I pick quote in recent yyears : Maldonado said he drive the best car that is the FW35 and it turn into worst car by Williams, Perez said he like double points and he get the benefit of it in Abu Dhabi and leap Raikkonen & Magnussen in the standings, and the most recent is : Dennis said Alonso will never came back at McLaren, and in December last year, He denied his own speech by signing Alonso.

I followed F1 since 2006, and I say Bahrain 2014 is very thrilling, second is Brazil 2012 and third Brazil 2008

I think so, Montoya 2003 is like Hamilton 2012 and Raikkonen 2003 is also like Alonso 2012, although Montoya is much more closer to Schumacher than Hamilton to Vettel, pretty unique 2003 is also a very competitive season like 2012

Drivers changing, its very frustating that the teams and drivers always the same, the driver pool maybe in GP2, Fr 3.5, or reserve driver and more realistic driver behaviour on the track and better A.I

First is 2010. yeah he made some error but McLaren was 3rd fastest car at that year for me he outperformed his car and failure in Spain and Hungary ultimately cost him the championship. Singapore I say Webber mistake and Italy was racing incident. Plus its not easy to won in that car on normal conditions (Button won 2 races on changing conditions)
2012 is second, because none of his mistakes cost his championship (Bahrain, Spain, Europe, Germany, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Brazil) and without that he would trash Button in the points. But he sometimes underperformed too like in Australia, Japan, Belgium Qualy, Britain.
2007 was the next, yeah he was rookie but in my view he was backed by McLaren, and have a lot of mileages before the season, still have a great year though.
Fourth was 2009, his car was poor and he outperformed his car, but Australia in my view kept me to put him in top 3.
Fifth was this year, he could’ve made life way more easier this year, and he should have the title before Abu Dhabi, he made quite a lot of mistakes and did not maximise everything, although Rosberg also made a lot of mistakes. But again he still brilliant when he had his day
He won the championship in 2008 but the reason he ranked 6th is because he had some luck winning it and some mistakes (Bahrain, Canada, I said he deserve the championship in 2010, 2014, and 2007) Massa could win Hungary and Singapore without his bad luck. But its not a bad season overall for Hamilton
2013 is the next, I rated Rosberg season better and I shocked that he showed Rosberg some lesson several times (Spain, Monaco, India, Abu Dhabi) yes he have races like Britain and Hungary but this is not I expected for Hamilton season. And Rosberg have more bad luck compare to Hamilton.
2011 is his worst season to me, his atitude was terrible and on track he outclasses by Button, all his podium finishes are very good performamce but other than that he had a bad year, but I’m happy that he learned a lot from this year

I agree with @kingshark even crashprone Maldonado and Perez get a podium. Perez also better than Hulkenberg when they are on their day, The reason that Perez is behind is because force india is pretty quick at the beginning of the season and Perez have pretty unlucky at first few races.Perez also got 2 battles for Podium (Bahrain and Canada) while Hulkenberg only once. DOTW results also represent how impressive Perez when he was at his day.about 2013 season, Gutierrez is pretty poor benchmark. IMO Hulk is solid driver, but not a star
