Hi Triples,
I have ordered the tickets via the official way and received e-tickets instead of documents. The e-tickets arrived in my email-box one day after paying for them. I have no experience with the queues.

The campsite is on the private property of a farmer/hotel. Electricity and douche/toilet is available. Breakfast and good evening entertainment just around the corner. The campsite is quiet in relation to the other campsites16th January 2016, 20:52 at 8:52 pm #311540taipanParticipantYes!
27th August 2015, 10:59 at 10:59 am #303877taipanParticipantI have been to several EU GP’s by plane and flying has my preference above driving. We fly from the Netherlands to Milano on Thursday afternoon, go to the apartment and visit the race-weekend. On Monday morning we fly back. Absolutely without any rush and flying takes us 3 hours from door-to-door.
20th March 2014, 12:22 at 12:22 pm #253289taipanParticipantIt’s good to see another Eu-race returning on the F1 calendar. My expectation is that Red-Bull will invest a lot of money in the circuit and surrounding activities. Does anyone know what can be visited (beside the racing program) at the site? Are there some restaurants, bars etc?

Spinning at the outside the race ring is always funny. Durung our first race we we enjoyed ukyo katayama spinning after the race was finished in front of us. Everyine could get on the track via the drainage system that year so the marchals had a big job keeping all the fans away from a F1 car without security. They even used fire extinguishers for that!

The season ended with the disqualification of Schumacher and the winner of the 1997 Hungarian grandprix, Villeneuve, became World Champion.

We always took the bus but with the opcoming temperatures we’re considering to take the train to Szilasliget this year. What is the best ticket to buy? Does the train-ride fall under a day-ticket or tourist ticket or is an additional ticket for the train required.

23rd July 2012, 12:09 at 12:09 pm #181677taipanParticipantThanks! That’s what I mentioned indeed. These parties used to continue until late/early in the morning. We did visit some pubs/bars in the evening. Which do you propose for a good evening spent?
23rd July 2012, 6:57 at 6:57 am #181672taipanParticipantI wish everyone who is going already a good stay in Budapest. We will fly in on Firday morning.
Tip: every evening in the summer there was an open-air party with live music and bars near the bridge “Petófi hid”.
17th July 2012, 18:40 at 6:40 pm #181651taipanParticipantI would say hungaroring is a really worth visiting. It wasn’t my goal to anoy you. What i meant was that everyone on this forum is very enthousiastic about the hungaroring. When you go through all the comments this becomes clear to you. So plesse follow his forum which will become more and more active towards the race and next year you will be at the hungarian grandprix!
Grtz,
