Ten of the best pictures which tell the story of the 2016 Singapore Grand Prix weekend.
Kimi Raikkonen
Kimi Raikkonen looked the quicker of the two Ferraris during practice and might have been on the podium but Ferrari’s late decision to give him an extra pit stop.
Daniil Kvyat
Barriers and lights make the difference between racing circuit and public road.
Red Bull
The combination of the bumpy Singapore track and racing at night under lights invariably produces the most spectacular sparks of the year.
Sebastian Vettel
More frustration for Sebastian Vettel: A broken anti-roll bar in qualifying left him at the back of the grid, though he salvaged fifth place.
Start
Nico Hulkenberg’s race came to an end within seconds of the start.
Marshal
Shockingly, the race restart was given while a marshal was still on the circuit.
Daniil Kvyat
Daniil Kvyat enjoyed one of his better weekends since being elbowed out of Red Bull, bringing his Toro Rosso home ninth.
Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen
A slip-up by Lewis Hamilton at turn seven allowed Raikkonen to pounce, though the Mercedes driver got back ahead.
Nico Rosberg and Daniel Ricciardo
It was this close at the finish: less than half a second between Nico Rosberg and Daniel Ricciardo. It was the closest end to an F1 race for six years.
Nico Rosberg
Rosberg clinched the victory – and restored himself to the lead of the championship.

I think that first backlit shot of Kimi is my favorite!
Never been a huge fan of the blurry sparky photos. Seen it a million times, they’re all the same. It’s like a pop song played on the radio over and over.

If you look carefully it’s actually Arrivabene extinguishing his cigarette (before being arrested)

Just noticed VET’s slow start. I wonder if it was deliberate…
