Sebastian Vettel says he isn’t concerned the neck problem which caused him to miss part of final practice will affect his participation in tomorrow’s British Grand Prix.
Ferrari explained on social media why Vettel did not run at the end of this morning’s session. “[Sebastian] is having a nuisance on his neck so he is missing this very last part,” the team said. “See you in [qualifying].”Vettel was able to run in qualifying and took second on the grid behind Lewis Hamilton. “It wasn’t the most enjoyable session,” he said afterwards.
“I don’t know what happened but it went a bit stiff and then we loosened it up,” said Vettel, who had physiotherapy on his neck between sessions.
However he isn’t concerned his neck will affect him in the race. “The night will help so I’m not worried,” he said. “Also the speed is much less than in quali.”
The championship leader was one of several drivers who commented yesterday on the bumpiness of the Silverstone circuit following its recent resurfacing.
“It’s always been bumpy here,” he said on Friday. “I think everybody expected it to be probably smoother but it’s still very bumpy. It’s part of Silverstone to be bumpy, I guess.”

If his physio can solve the situation, Vettel could be a neck ahead in the race.

SeeBashem! More neck than a giraffe!
His last whine about steward’s inconsistency was priceless!
Basically stated that unless a driver loses the plot & behaves dangerously, drivers shouldn’t be penalised?
LMBO!! His both feet in his mouth moment, carefully forgets his outrageous red mist moment in Baku then??!!
So! His current “stiff neck” is just Karma!!!! :)
