@fer-no65 I noticed that if you cut the grey bits in the floor, than you can glue the things attached to the floor (like the seat) much easier, as you can reach them now.4th August 2012, 16:20 at 4:20 pm #2062864th August 2012, 18:50 at 6:50 pm #206287AnonymousInactive
How thick is the paper you guys are using?4th August 2012, 19:02 at 7:02 pm #206288Bradley DowntonParticipant
@ral – For my prototype (the one where the black is a funny shade) I was using 140g.
My mum brought me some good stuff though but it was 200g, and I found this is too thick as it doesn’t actually bend properly and is proving to be a nightmare.
So I’m going to start a THIRD model, using 140g paper, and a decent ink cartridge..4th August 2012, 19:22 at 7:22 pm #206289
Also using 140g: when I started, I was afraid it was too weak and flexible, but most of the floppy parts are double-folded. So 140g is the correct paper I reckon.4th August 2012, 20:51 at 8:51 pm #206290AnonymousInactive
Thanks. I am a bit worried the paper is a bit too thin, think it’s just 130g, but will see. It’s nice to know the thinner parts end up double folded anyway :)5th August 2012, 11:01 at 11:01 am #206291Zoltan HurtaParticipant
Can someone make video? :O Because i think it’s very difficult papercraft and i have proble step1…. :S Or make someone pictures about step by step :D ?5th August 2012, 12:00 at 12:00 pm #206292
I just did step 4, which was just as tricky as step 3. The sidepods are just so difficult and also the airbox and the upper part of the nose cone are a bit tricky. I had a lot of trouble with the airbox, especially part 14. I didn’t see the point of adding part 14, so I just ignored that bit and eventually it turned out fine. Here’s a picture of the car after step 4:5th August 2012, 12:44 at 12:44 pm #206293Zoltan HurtaParticipant

Lotus recommend 150g paper at least… (Check their Facebook page for an FAQ)
@andae23 – Looking cool!
Also, I agree, the sidepods are a nightmare5th August 2012, 14:16 at 2:16 pm #206295
Also I just made myself a pilot: a Kimi/Angrybird thing. Here’s the little guy in his (unfinished) car:
