Participant@fer-no65 I noticed that if you cut the grey bits in the floor, than you can glue the things attached to the floor (like the seat) much easier, as you can reach them now.

Participant@ral – For my prototype (the one where the black is a funny shade) I was using 140g.
My mum brought me some good stuff though but it was 200g, and I found this is too thick as it doesn’t actually bend properly and is proving to be a nightmare.
So I’m going to start a THIRD model, using 140g paper, and a decent ink cartridge..4th August 2012, 19:22 at 7:22 pm #206289andae23
ParticipantAlso using 140g: when I started, I was afraid it was too weak and flexible, but most of the floppy parts are double-folded. So 140g is the correct paper I reckon.

InactiveThanks. I am a bit worried the paper is a bit too thin, think it’s just 130g, but will see. It’s nice to know the thinner parts end up double folded anyway :)

ParticipantI just did step 4, which was just as tricky as step 3. The sidepods are just so difficult and also the airbox and the upper part of the nose cone are a bit tricky. I had a lot of trouble with the airbox, especially part 14. I didn’t see the point of adding part 14, so I just ignored that bit and eventually it turned out fine. Here’s a picture of the car after step 4:
