ParticipantTBH, since william hill aren’t offering odds on Quali, I’m happy to amend that one to allow post quali betting -so go for it!

ParticipantNo odds on quali? But how will I lose all my money?

Participant…Betting on Hamilton?
7th March 2013, 12:01 at 12:01 pm #220987Penfold
ParticipantTried that one last year… oh how I laughed at McLaren’s fun little breakages/cock ups.
Kimi at 8/1 to win Melbourne is tempting, but then in a strange way so is 50/1 man Maldonado. Hmm, what to do….
7th March 2013, 12:15 at 12:15 pm #220988Bendanarama
ParticipantI’d be tempted by Maldonado each way, but not a straight win.

ParticipantJust laid a few quid each way on Maldonado, admittedly not much chance of him winning in Oz but the odds were too good to resist – the cry of all truly deluded gamblers!
Meanwhile in this game I now have:
Alonso to win championship: £40 at 11/4 (returning £150)
Raikkonen to win in Melbourne: £5 at 9/1 (returning £50)15th March 2013, 14:22 at 2:22 pm #220990Penfold
ParticipantAnd I’ll add…
Hamilton to be fastest qualifier: £5 at 7/1 (returning £40)

ParticipantHehe – Marussia being the fastest qualifying constructor – 1000/1. No surprises there!

ParticipantBets total £50 and winnings total £50. So I’m back to £100 in the kitty and with the Alonso Championship bet still riding.
Alonso to win championship: £40 at 11/4 (returning £150)
Raikkonen to win in Melbourne: £5 at 9/1 (returning £50)
Hamilton to be fastest qualifier: £5 at 7/1 (returning £40)Most likely it’s all downhill from here….

ParticipantSergio Perez to beat Jenson Button: £10 at 3.00 chance. (£40 return)
Possible, he did seem to have better race pace in Melbourne.
Romain Grosjean to beat Kimi Raikkonen: £10 at 3.50 chance (£45 return)
Lol, dunno what I was smoking.
Probably some Pirelli super-soft burned rubber.
Fernando Alonso to become WDC: £10 at 3.75 chance (£47.50 return)
Plausible.
Scuderia Ferrari to win the WCC: £10 at 3.50 chance (£45 return)
They’re leading the WCC! Can’t believe it! :p

ParticipantRight then, time to lose some money:
Grosjean to finish in top 6: £5 at 11/8 (returning £11.87)
Massa to finish on podium: £5 at 4/1 (£25)
Hulkenberg points finish: £5 at 11/10 (£10.50)As you can probably tell from the modest sums wagered, I have no real conviction in any of these panning out.

ParticipantI’m having to wait till I get home to put mine on – can’t get on the william hill site from work!
