George Russell says he would like to see the Rettifilo chicane modified to help avoid drivers getting away with mistakes at the corner.
Gravel run-offs could be restored at parts of Monza’s Parabolica corner to prevent a repeat of last weekend’s controversy over whether one of Sebastian Vettel’s lap times should be deleted.
Formula 1 drivers have been warned they will have two lap times deleted if they stray beyond the track limits at the exit of Parabolica.
Formula One lap times will fall by over a second on the new Monza track in 2017. The plans also include the restoration of Parabolica’s gravel run-off.
Jenson Button says it’s easier to carry more speed into Parabolica now that the run-off area is more forgiving.
Formula One drivers have questioned the need to replace much of the gravel run-off at Monza’s Parabolica turn with Tarmac.
